The Kelowna Veterinary Care Foundation is looking for more foster homes.

Every animal that comes into our care starts their journey in a foster home. Whether it’s a newborn litter, an abandoned puppy, a senior dog, an injured cat, or an animal simply waiting for their forever family, foster homes are the heart of our rescue.

We are currently looking for fosters for:
• Puppies
• Dogs
• Kittens
• Cats
• Moms with babies
• Medical and recovery cases

As a veterinary-led rescue, you’ll never be on your own. We provide the veterinary care, supplies, training, and ongoing support—you provide a safe, loving place for an animal to rest, recover, and prepare for adoption.

You don’t need years of experience to foster. Whether you can help for a couple of weeks or a few months, opening your home means another animal gets the chance they deserve.

Without foster homes, we simply can’t say “yes” to animals that need us.

If you’ve been considering fostering, now is the perfect time to join our team. Send us a message to learn more about becoming a foster with the Kelowna Veterinary Care Foundation Rescue and help us give more dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens a second chance.

🐾 When an animal is in crisis, every moment matters.

The Community Care Fund helps provide lifesaving diagnostics, treatment, surgery, medications, and recovery care for animals who otherwise wouldn't have access to the care they need.

Every case is carefully reviewed by veterinary professionals, and every donation helps give an animal the chance to heal, recover, and find a brighter future.

Together, we can turn difficult moments into success stories. 💚
Help us give more animals the care, and second chances they deserve.

Our Catahoula mix puppies had their very first veterinary appointments today at Kelowna Veterinary Hospital

Today was all about making sure they’re off to the best possible start. Each puppy received a full nose-to-tail examination, had their health checked over, and lots of cuddles from our team. They were incredibly brave and soaked up all the love (and, of course, plenty of treats!).

These little ones are growing fast, and we can’t wait to watch them continue to thrive as they prepare for their forever homes.

A big thank you to Dr. Ellen and the KVH team for taking such great care of them. 💙

Stay tuned for more puppy updates as they continue to grow! 🐶💕

Kelowna Dog Lovers, We Need Your Help!

Want to help a rescue dog find their forever home?

We’re looking for local animal lovers who enjoy taking photos and videos to spend a day with one of our adoptable dogs. Whether it’s a puppuccino, a hike, a trip to the beach, or just exploring Kelowna together, we’ll cover the cost of the outing.

All we ask is that you capture some photos and videos for us to share on our social media. Sometimes all it takes is the right post for someone to fall in love.

If you’re in the Kelowna area and would love to help, send us a DM with a link to your social media and tell us a little about yourself.

♡Currently at The Purple Sea Horse In Kelowna♡

Linus is a handsome 6-year-old boy looking for a home that understands his needs and will allow him to live life on his terms.

Linus benefits from a predictable routine and a home that will continue to provide him with patience and understanding.

Linus is looking for an adult-only home and would not be suited to a household with children.
A quiet environment will allow him to feel secure and be the best version of himself.

Linus is searching for a family that will appreciate his unique personality and provide him with the stability and care he deserves.

🐾 Meet Nori! 🐾

Nori is an 8-month-old Catahoula mix looking for her forever home! She is a sweet girl who can be a little timid when meeting new people or experiencing new situations, but with a little patience and reassurance, her friendly personality starts to shine.

Nori gets along well with other dogs and would love a home that will continue to help build her confidence while giving her lots of love and guidance. Whether she’s joining you on adventures or relaxing at home, Nori is ready to find a family that will give her the time she needs to truly blossom.

Nori has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do in a home with cats.

Nori’s community care contribution is $550. She has been vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed, so she’s ready to go home with her forever family.

If you think Nori could be the perfect addition to your family, we’d love to hear from you! For inquiries or to request an adoption application, please email [email protected]
