⛵️Checking out the Sails
🌅Smokey sunsets

✅Here’s a safety checklist for all you paddlers out there…

👩🏼‍🔧Repair kit (include a hand air pump)
🔥Waterproof matches/fire starter
💧Water
🍎Snacks
🛟Life jackets (for you and your pup)
🧥Warm, dry clothes
📣Air horn
🛟A spare inflatable floaty
🔌Portable phone charger
📱Phone

❌Don’t be like me and get carried away, underprepared, paddling for hours in the backcountry without your safety supplies.

🫣On this day, the wind picked up, and it was a super sketchy ride back that could have ended badly.
I was 45 minutes from my friend’s house (no one was home), and I was 2 hours from civilization with no service. It could have left us in a very dangerous situation if we had encountered an issue.

😳Learn from my mistakes!!!

🐕If you don’t do it for yourself, at least do it for your dog!❤️

🥲Even if it’s meant - I had to love someone so much I had to let them go.
That’s what life is. To love and to let go.

Especially in the rescue world. There is loss 🌹and there is letting go to save more🕊️.

❤️‍🩹With my rescue involvement in Canada and Costa Rica - I have witnessed a lot, I have felt a lot of emotions… from the depths of despair to the highest of highs. At times you question it. I have given a lot of myself, however what I receive back is greater than anything money can buy… that is… life and love.

🫶🏼I’ve been told I’m too sensitive or I love too much… but why? because most people are scared… scared of loss and or rejection… but loss is a reality of life so why not make the choice to love as hard as you can. What do you really have to loose?

🐺🐕🐶 If dogs taught me anything… it’s unconditional unwavering love and that is how I choose to show up in the world no matter how it is received.

✨We are love. If you choose to allow it in, I promise it will bring you to the best version of yourself.

❤️I hope you choose love.
