German Shepherds come in quite a wide range of coat colors and patterns, though some are much more common (and recognized by breed standards) than others. Here’s a full list:

Common/Recognized Colors:

• Black and Tan (most common)
• Black and Red (similar to black and tan, but with a richer red pigment)
• Black and Cream
• Black and Silver
• Solid Black
• Sable (also called agouti; can range from light sable to dark sable)
• Bi-Color (appears almost solid black with small tan or rust markings)
• Gray (diluted sable or wolf-gray look)

Less Common/Rare Colors (not always accepted in show rings):

• White (not recognized in many kennel clubs, but exists)
• Panda (rare piebald pattern with white patches, usually from a genetic mutation)
• Blue (diluted black, giving a slate-gray appearance)
• Liver/Chocolate (brown coat caused by a dilution gene)
• Isabella/Lilac (a very rare diluted liver + blue combination)

Note: Dogs don’t care what colour they are or what size or shape they are. Energy is all that matters. Some are more compatible than others. We should take a few pointers from our 4 legged friends 🥰

Join me in saving lives 🐶❤️‍🩹🐱
I am trying to raise as least enough funds to sponsor an entire spay or neuter clinic, which means fixing 20 to over a 100 animals. That would save the lives of COUNTLESS unwanted pets who are left; abandoned, abused and starving to death. Any remaining raising funds would go to emergency vet care, and essential wellness for pets in need. 💝
