Of course you have; they're all beautiful but we are particularly partial to these little sweeties.
Velma and Fara came in to our care last February. They had been colored on with pink marker.

Velma and Fara have been with our amazing foster who we only use for our cute ratties because her experience, expertise and care is the absolute best!

They have blossomed so much and have their own wonderful personalities.

They're foster has given us this info to share:

Velma - Curious and friendly, but a bit hand-shy. She likes to climb out of the cage on her own terms. She also likes to chase around any paper towel/broom/etc. being used for cleaning up. Free roam time is her favourite, and is full of happy boggles.

Fara - More skittish than Velma; might nip if startled or if a hand comes over her head. Enjoys exploring and getting into trouble (so free roam time in a rat-proof area is a must for her to keep her enriched). She does love having her ears & head rubbed, you just have to approach slowly and let her sniff you first. Once outside the cage, she will cuddle up for the occasional nap inside your sweater - she just isn't a fan of being picked up, so "scooping" is a must.

Together they play/roughhouse, cuddle, and boggle. They are not very keen on meeting new rats and strongly prefer one another. They also enjoy rearranging their cage - it'll never look the same 2 days in a row!

"personally feel the hand shyness is tied to being coloured on by kids previously / not being handled in the most rat-friendly way. They won't do well with young kidsn the home or loud houses. They are totally fine in homes with cats/dogs/etc., however.)"

These little ladies would love to find their forever homes soon.

She is definitely a peach! 🍑

Full of endless hours of entertainment, climbing, hanging upside down and attempted escapes with one successful mission.

Peaches is 1-1.5 but she has the energy of a young hamster that's started to explore.

Peaches is being fostered in Ottawa and is available for adoption.

WHO wants to hear something CRAZY!!!

So if you saw my last post regarding our volunteer Nickie that's expecting a baby at the end of October... well after I posted I went back to see if anyone had "emotioned" the post as I usually do, and I checked to see who had.

Always, ALWAYS, Nickie is definitely one who has seen and 👍❤️ 😂 to any activity on our page. But this time, she was not on the list.

I sent her the link so she could see it. Who knows, she could have been napping, eating, prepping a nursery; anything of the above with a baby on the way.

A few minutes later she messaged me back, and wrote, "Bout that" and she literally made me yell out loud in front of random people, "WHAT" as she had sent a photo of her with her precious new baby upon her chest!!!

I guess the little lady couldn't wait any longer.
Soooo, our team would love for you to now know that sweet little Ivy Aaliyah has arrived!!! She's earlier than expected but a perfect little package.

We're sending all of our love to Nickie, Ian and beautiful baby Ivy ❤️

We have the BEST team ever if I do say so myself!!!

So many talents, strengths, and qualities among us make this rescue strong and capable of so much positive!

Well, guess what!? We're adding a team member to our already unstoppable group.
She won't be here though until late October, probably early November as she's still traveling our way.

The universe knew we needed a fresh and adorable face to bring more smiles to our lives, so they told us to expect nothing less.

We're SUPER EXCITED to announce that our very own Nickie (I'm not allowed to tag as some of her clients may not know yet 🤭) you KNOW our Nickie; and her husband are expecting a sweet little baby at the end of October!
We can't wait to meet her and get her a teeny little logo onesie, and a bundle of bunny stuffies to welcome her to the world ❤️

We will let you know when she has arrived and I'll try my hardest to be able to sneak a pic of the beauty that she is sure to be. ❤️

Sorry we've been M.I.A. for a couple days. Just trying to get everything back in its place and the room officially done!
We're welcoming Danny Zuko back tomorrow and the everybunny will have returned. Joey and Chandler, and Rainbow came back today. Flopsy, Sprinkles and Sandra Dee came back on Sunday, and Spring is staying for an extra long vacation! Keep your fingers crossed as Spring is trying to bond with her fosters own bun and if they hit it off she will have a forever home ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped this week by fostering and sending gifts. We appreciate you all so much ❤️

I leave you with the bunny room during bunstruction! Once everyone is back we'll do a LIVE to show you the finished piece.
We'll plan for Thursday during the day to do that!

❤️I want to send a big thank you to Jacqueline and her family who are fostering this week. They donated two dehumidifiers for the bun room. They also donated p*e pads which we very much need always.

📣So now I'll tell you the snag we ran into the other day if you saw that post where we asked for a dehumidifier.
I've been redoing the bun room all week. We knew the floors were safe to redo as my partner in crime had checked them and it was good to take the tiles off. They were gross and needed to go. I began taking off the baseboards as well as some were coming off and obviously hiding a good amount of hay and other things from the last 3.5 years. The 3 walls were pretty much fine but the outside wall, and being in the basement had some speckles. I sent my contractor partner a picture and he confirmed it was mold but thankfully a small amount. I lightly sprayed each wall with bleach/water even though I really get scared of using bleach with the animals around (none were in the room however) and I can't handle a lot of strong smells but it had to be done. This morning we are painting the bottom of the walls with a low voc paint for mold so it will not continue to grow. We have to let that dry and then we can have the buns back. Thank you to everyone who had no issues keeping our little friends a bit longer as they were supposed to come back today.
I cant wait to get the room set up and have our friends return.

🙏 One big thing we REALLY need though if anyone can help us, is another air purifier. We have several throughout the house but we need one that can cover a large space.
If anyone has one they don't need and it's still in good condition please let us know. We do have one or two that will cover a large area on our Amazon wishlist if your generosity is running extra deep today and you can help.
