Good morning everyone!
Is anyone else feeling like there's an extra 5 million things on there plate and they all have to be done RIGHT NOW!?
This week has been CrAzY!
I try not to post a lot during auctions because I find it just messes up the feed of the page and things get lost so that's why we've been quiet but it has not been quiet here.
I played musical animals for 2 days straight this week moving little friends around to make it easier and accommodating for myself and the little ones here.
I wonder how many times I have rearranged our bunny room in the last 4 years? How many zipties have been used? How many binder clips lost, and/or purchased? These are the things that keep me up at night?
Our auction ends tonight at 5pm. I may or may not be available to contact everyone who wins immediately as I am to attend the end of year picnic for my daughters school. If it rains there will be messages, if it doesn't they'll come later.
This weekend also we celebrate the birthdays of our two longest and best volunteers ever in the rescue; again my girls! A whole whopping 8 years of loving little humans with giant hearts and so proudly an enormous love for animals ❤️
Next Saturday is also our craft show!!!
Everything always happens around the same time 🫨
We are REALLY REALLY hoping that you can find time to come by and check out the very talented vendors that will be showcasing their beautiful items.
There will be handmade candles, amazing rings made by a local craftsman, bunny flop beds, crochet everything, stunning artwork, 3D prints, beaded jewelry, stickers, and SO MUCH MORE!
We would so love the support so please come by, but also tell your friends and family to attend.
We're looking for anyone local to put up signage for us, and come out the morning of to put up decorations outside to draw more attention to those who don't know about our event. If you're able to help in either way send us a message.
This week we have also been flooded with interest in people wanting to foster or foster to adopt Sushi our 7 year old Chinchilla needing a new space. Sushi goes to the vet on the 24th of this month and then after that we should have a new space for her. With the amount of interest I know she will be adopted very quickly.
It would be LOVELY for more people to send us emails about wanting to foster bunnies as we switch to a foster based rescue. We NEED those committed and devoted people just as much for the buns as Chinchillas too.
Now for some sad news.
I told you a few weeks ago that Joey and Chandler had been having some issues and Joey had been bullying Chandler for some unknown reason. I had taken them to the vet but they both showed only perfect health. Things got worse and very sadly they had to be separated. This has broken my heart but I am committed to getting them back together. There was no other choice as Joey was becoming aggressive and would not stop chasing Chandler and pulling out chunks of his fur. They could not be left alone together. They are still side by side and they honestly look lost but we are working on trying to figure out what's wrong. We are giving Chandler metacam for 7 days to see if there are any hidden ailments that are possibly presenting weakness and vulnerability to Joey and that is the issue. I have seen this happen in other animals where you have a senior or ill and even sad animal and the other healthier, more stable animal attacks. We hope there is nothing going on with Chandler but we need to rule this out.
We will absolutely keep you updated as time goes on.
I apologize for the long post but as I hadn't added any content this week due to the auction, there was a lot to say.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Please check your bids if you have already placed bids in the auction.
❤️
