We are so proud of Elsie and Penny-Pony in their horse show today!! Elsie did a fantastic job of making sure the trailer was packed and ready, and her pony was expertly groomed! Elsie did a wonderful job answering the judges questions and following the instructions!! And Penny-Pony was so grateful for the lovely large tub of cookies! Thanks Kimberly Redman and the Westsyde Trail Riders group for offing these amazing opportunities for our grassroots riders!

Getting Penny-Pony show-ready for the weekend 🐴

It may be “just” a schooling show, but it’s the perfect opportunity to practice all the details—clipping, braiding, and proper turnout.

While Elsie isn’t quite ready to clip her own pony yet, she’s right there for all of it—bathing, grooming, and tacking up—learning what goes into having a horse prepared for the ring.

These small moments build good habits, show respect for the judge and organizers, and set the standard for everything that comes next.

Yep, I FULLY understand how bad this summer is going to suck if we don’t get enough precipitation BUT as there’s not much I can do to control that, I’m going to take full advantage of these amazing conditions!!
