How old is your Doberman? Have you done Holter and Echo Testing?
This should be part of your annual testing when owning a Doberman.
HAVE A HEART, HOLTER YOUR DOBERMAN ❤️
If you own a Doberman, chances are you’ve heard about Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM), a serious heart condition that often goes undetected until it’s too late. As many as 58% of Dobermans will develop DCM in their lifetime. Cardiomyopathy can present in different ways: one is characterized by the enlargement of the ventricles of the heart, weakening the walls of the heart muscle causing impaired contraction of the heart’s ventricles. Other dogs present with arrhythmias (i.e., irregular heartbeats) including ventricular premature contractions (VPCs) with little to no evidence of heart dilation.
DCM is a silent disease in Dobermans, and many affected dogs show no symptoms until sudden heart failure or collapse.
‼️EARLY DETECTION IS KEY‼️
Regular heart screenings, including echocardiograms and Holter monitoring, can help identify issues before they become life-threatening. This means you may save, prolong, and improve your Doberman’s life.
Our personal DR400 Holter is available to rent locally, or for anyone who is willing to travel to us.
‼️FOR ALL HILLTOPHAVEN DOBERMANNS THE RENTAL FEE WILL BE WAIVED‼️
