We’re this morning with plants and the new potting soil Cafe Coco.

Plants are drought tolerant and deer proof (mostly) and selected for their varieties to shine up southern Alberta gardens no matter whether you’re in a snug city spot or an open farmscape.

Open until noonish. Come out and say hi!

Etransfer and cash at the market stall. Fantastic coffee and shopping in Homestead market as usual ❤️

Sound on

That’s not traffic or electronics - the bees are back!

Every year they fill this maple and I love to just sit and listen

Our white currants getting a spring mulching for soil protection, help retaining water and keeping roots cooler in July heat.

They get a dressing of bone meal, water by soaker hose and weekly misting of a diluted molasses/humid acid blend.

Happy growing !

We’re still here🙃

Having a few website mockups this week.

If you’re having a tough time registering for Seed Saving 101 or Garden Consults in our websites booking calender - message me here and I will get you scheduled and activate your reminders.

Should be sorted by the weekend. If you registered through the shop and the shop classes disappear - you are still registered and I’ve updated the class list as needed.

❤️everyone for all your patience!

One of my favourite days of the year!

Plants are in🥳

We’re checking on everyone. All the plants are from Canadian growerrs and zoned for South East Alberta.

We’ve got some fun ones this year!

Our website should be up tomorrow or Sunday. I will update what we’ve got there. If you are interested in rare perennials for our region come out and chat on March 29th some spring garden demos, free samples and our new soil, and check out the new Earl Grey glad bulbs or the awesome butterfly Rainbow echinacea ❤️

We get it. Growing strong seedlings can be a challenge in our unpredictable climate, with hot and cold springs with a loop, not to mention the occasional snowflake or blazing sun! We're working hard on creating the perfect blend to ensure your seedlings thrive, no matter how tricky the spring might be.

Keep an eye out for the launch of SAS, co-designed with , which combines the best gardening science with our locally sourced ingredients. (Alright, so the coconuts aren't native, but we're committed to sustainability! The coconut coir comes from our fantastic greenhouse partners. We carefully clean, sift, and mix it with nutrient-rich worm castings and minerals to craft a wonderful peat-free blend.)

You can also choose to add one, two, or all three of our specially designed 3-stage boosters for easy customization of your mix. We can't wait to see you soon! Wishing you joyful growing!
