Born and raised in our home based kennel right in the house, the puppies get a ton of socializi

ng and attention daily. We are extremely hands on from the moment they are born and therefore they are very well rounded and used to interacting with people by the time they leave. We take them out for daily pack walks & playtime so they have plenty of time to explore and learn about their environment, all with the help of the older and wiser dogs to show them the dos and don’ts! We perform ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) on all our puppies as well to help promote good lifelong stress management and mental development! Originally known as the BioSensor program, developed for military K9s. ENS helps our puppies become amazingly strong and mentally resilient dogs that can go on to excel in every aspect of their lives, no matter if that’s as working stock dogs, service dogs, sporting dogs or simply as wonderful family pets

Today we want to take the time to post an update about one of our amazing puppy parents and their High Gear wonder-dog!

Alexia & her girl Rebelle (formerly Mistique from our X-men litter) are truly the definition of a perfect team. We are so proud of all they have accomplished together and the success they have shared in everything they try their hand at! No matter if it's obedience, tricks, frisbee, dock diving, ratting/barn hunts, lure coursing or just visiting nursing homes to spread joy to others....whatever they do, they do with immense passion and dedication. Alexia is a wonderful dog trainer and just an amazing human in general, we are so happy one of our pups was lucky enough to snag her as an owner!

Among Rebelle's numerous titles (which is a huge list!) these are some of her most noteworthy accomplishments lately:

Thanks to all our Ontario friends who reached out about these boys but due to a sudden turn of events, these three handsome fellas just joined us in Alberta and will be seeking homes in the west now! 😊

They had their photoshoot today and boy oh boy, were they too cute to handle i tell ya! I'll post more puppy-cuteness-spam when I get the chance!

Does anyone need some puppy love in their life? Four beautiful blue boys are searching for their new families (or jobs!).

Remy x Angus 2024 litter!

Our foster mom who fosters-to-own Angus & Remy both asked if we could have one litter out of them before she fixes them as they wanted another puppy in their lives and were hoping it could be one of theirs. Since Chantal and her Family are wonderful people and the best fosters we could ever ask for, we agreed to one retirement litter from the two of them. It was a BIG litter and thanks to some repeat buyers who wanted another High Gear pup in their life after loving their first so much…only four boys remain from the litter.

They are High Gear pups and therefore are UNDER CONTRACT to approved homes only so please reach out to me to discuss any of these handsome boys! Each are very unique in personality so we can help guide you to the boy that matches your household and dynamics the best. Heelers are high energy and high drive dogs so active, dog knowledgeable homes need only apply please 🐾

It is with a heavy heart, a million tears and a soul full of grief that I have to make this post….

The High Gear family has suffered immeasurable loss this year and it’s almost too much to bear!

Anela, our founding girl and my husbands best friend, along with Jack & Cooper (both Remy x Chester sons from the same litter) have all crossed the rainbow bridge before their time.

I won’t go into all the details but I will summarize best I can. Anela and Cooper were both lost in tragic truck accidents and Jack had an inoperable tumor on his spine that appeared out of nowhere. Every loss was absolutely tragic and there was nothing to be done, which honestly makes it so much harder to stomach when you are helpless and have no choice in the matter at all.

My heart goes out to both Jack & Cooper’s families, We unfortunately are in your shoes at this very moment grieving Anela and know the pain all too well. If you need us we are here, always, no matter what 🐾

To all our other High Gear family, I encourage you all to enjoy every second with your four legged family and hug them a little tighter tonight! life changes in an instant and we have no choice but to enjoy what we are given and accept what is taken away 💔

Rest easy Anela, Jack & Cooper. We love you more than you know and the world will never be the same without your presence, love and light.
