by Kissable K9 Care is coming to Sticks n Bones!

We will be hosting an event on June 12th, 2021 with Kissable K9 Care to provide you with the opportunity to book your dog for a one hour session to gently remove tartar from below the gum and reveal those shiny pearly whites!

This service does not require anesthesia, any health issues more than tartar build up will need to be treated by a veterinarian. Technicians at Kissable K9 are not veterinarians and are unable to treat serious oral health issues.

🐶THUNDER is ADOPTED!🐶
I'm a big stud muffin 2 year old boy here at GTHS to find a wonderful family to call my own! And okay okay, at about 65lbs right now, I guess I'm not really THAT big. Quite a perfect size in my opinion, actually! I arrived not too long ago, after some other doggies and I made quite the trip through the Transfer Program. It sure was a long haul coming from all the way up North!! Anyways, back to me! I'm a lovely big guy who seems to be very people oriented. I've had some chances to play with other doggies in the yard here at GTHS and go for walks with other dogs too, but I'll be honest, I'm usually more interesting in engaging with the humans than the dogs haha So, although I'd probably do just fine in the company of other canines, YOU are who I really want to be spending my time with!! Now when it comes to leash walks, I do still need a bit of guidance on proper "manners" as I'm pretty strong and very curious about sniffing all the smells! Sooo, I tend to try to sometimes bring my handler along with me as I investigate various things...oops! hehe That said, the GTHS humans say that I'm a very smart boy and catch onto things very quickly, so it shouldn't take long at all for me to become a very well-mannered boy with your leadership and consistency! I sure am an active and outdoorsy guy too! So, meeting my exercise and stimulation requirements will be important. Lots of walks and hiking and any outside time really will be very important!! I can get pretty excited sometimes when I'm playing with my humans and tend to jump once in a while. So, like I said, I need a bit of work on my manners but also might do best in a home with no teeny tiny humans...I don't want them upset with me if I keep accidentally knocking them on their bums! I also have shown quite a KEEN interest in small fuzzy things that run around, so finding a home with no small pets like kitties is probably best as well. 🐶BRUNO is ADOPTED!🐶
I'm big Bruno!! And I do mean BIG! At just around a year old, I'm already hovering at a whopping 98lbs! BIG BOY INDEED!! I just recently arrived here at GTHS with a bunch of other animals through the Transfer Program. We made one heck of a long trip to get here, let me tell you! But the long trip sure was worth it because I've heard that I'm hear to find a loving family and THAT is pretty exciting stuff!!! If you're considering applying for me, I sure do hope you're ready for this much dog!! oh and this much fur too! I am one seriously fuzzy boy. So, lots of space and a good vacuum will be important if I'm joining your family haha This probably doesn't come as much of a surprise, given my size, but I am also a very strong young man. I have a tendency to pulllll a little bit on my leash walks haha so, maybe we can work on that. The GTHS humans use this great tool when they walk me though and that sure does seem to help with my manners (which they say is awfully nice on their poor arms haha). So far here at GTHS, I've proven to be a pretty friendly boy with the other doggies I've met, though a bit unsure at times. So, it will be important for my humans to continue with slow and positive introductions to new doggies to help with my social skills! Overall, I'm just a big, sweet, lovable boy! I can be a bit shy with new people at first but if you allow me to come around at my own pace, I warm up in no time and then we're best buds!! You might even have to remind me that a 100lb+ dog is not a lap dog... haha oops that said, due to my tremendous size and strength, the GTHS humans think I may do best with no teeny tiny humans in the home. Wouldn't want to accidentally squoosh someone! So if you've got the time, space and love in your heart and home for a big bear like me, then I hope you'll send in that application! 😍🐶MAKOO is ADOPTED!🐶😍
There's no denying that I am one seriously handsome, fluffy guy! Did I mention fluffy?? haha yep, theres about 62lbs of me right now and when you look at me, you'd like half of that is my big, gorgeous coat!! I'm also a very lovely adult age of 5 years old! You probably already guessed this, but I'm part of this most recent Northern Transfer group! I arrived at GTHS with some other doggies not too long ago after a very very long trip. Now, here is where my story gets a little unique... I needed to spend A LOT of time with the doggie doctor! First, I needed some help with my teefs haha some needed some cleaning and some where prettttty yucky and had to be taken out. So, now my mouth is looking and feeling much better!! But that's not all! I also had a very scary run in with one of those big, fast things you humans call "cars." Turns out cars are very strong and I ended up with a broken leg. But I'm sooo lucky to have been helped and to have received the care I needed! So, now I'm feeling much, much better! Doggie Doc says I'm still supposed to rest and take my medicine for a bit longer, but she said that I'm finally okay to go up for adoption and get my much needed rest in a loving, new home!
YAY!!!!! I'm such a gentle, sweet and loving boy! Now that I'm feeling better, I've become more engaging and involved with the humans at GTHS and LOVE getting visits from them! I'm a pretty relaxed guy (which helps when you're supposed to spend your days resting) but I expect that once I'm completely healed, I'll become a bit more active and will be excited to get out for lots of nice walks with my new family! The real icing on the cake, according to my GTHS human friends, is that no matter how I was feeling with all my health challenges, I have stayed steady with being nothing but sweet natured and wonderful.
