Be on the watch for some Librela testimonials!!!

Pepper is an almost 10-year-old mix (Husky, German Shepard, Lab) 30kg dog that started experiencing some pain in her joints at times over the past year. The limping was especially noticeable after she got up after one of her many daily naps and appeared to be getting a bit worse as time went on. We had mentioned it to Dr. Kim at AHCH and she recommended trying Librela, an injectable osteoarthritis pain therapy medication. Pepper received her first injection in mid-January and within two days she was walking much better and after about four days she displayed absolutely no signs of discomfort. She was her old mischievous self, chasing kitties, and showing off her superior running abilities.

With our flower beds finally in full bloom, it's a good time for a reminder about one common plant most of us have! True lily plants, Lilium sp. and Hemerocallis sp. can result in acute kidney injury or toxicosis in cats and can be fatal if left untreated.
Signs to watch for are stomach upset (diarrhea, vomiting), lethargic behavior, excessive thirst and increased urination.
Call your vet immediately for further instructions!
