Big week this week! I saw 5 bears! This is a reminder to always have bear bells, bear spray, a whistle and not to be distracted on your phone or wear earbuds while out in the woods. All the animals are being pushed out of the wild by the smoke and so there is more of them around.

Always watch for behaviour changes in your dog. I probably would've never picked up on half the bears I did if I wasn't watching the dogs.

Be vigilant and always give space, especially when there's a mama and her cubs nearby.

Another hot and smokey week. We did our best to keep walks short and staying hydrated. Hoping next week will be cooler!

Wow what a hot week! Unfortunately I needed to cancel some walks out of safety. But the few I did manage to get in were all by water. Walks were also shortened, with shade and rest.
