Do other breeders have an old doe or buck that they just can’t part with?
That is Orchid for me. She’s an early 2018 doe and was my best producing doe. She’s had many many litters and has produced most of the best rabbits to stay or leave my barn. She’s proven her worth to me 10X over.
This year she’s showing age a bit; not holding or regaining weight after a littler like she used to. But that is ok, she doesn’t need to have 3+ litters a year. She’s earned her keep.
I know there is other breeders who would move an old doe on, but I can’t. I feel like I owe it to her, to keep her and let her live the rest of her life out with me where I can be sure she is spoiled and loved. Maybe I’m just sentimental, but she is truly a special rabbit to me! 💖🐰

Looking for new hutches:

-One year old red NZ/Satin doe. Great attentive momma, can be very protective. 5️⃣0️⃣

-11 month old broken black pure satin doe. Has had one litter of 7. Is a very good quiet mom. 5️⃣0️⃣

-2 year old broken Siamese doe. Almost pure satin. Amazing momma! She is thick and produces nice thiiick babies. Sweetheart for temperament! I would be keeping her if I wasn’t keeping a daughter from her! 5️⃣0️⃣

Thankfully we made it through the insane temperatures with Zero losses! I know other rabbit breeders weren’t as fortunate and my condolences go out to them. ❤️
