Dearest clients. As the closure and movement of this facility draws near you are likely wondering what will be of your pets file. It will be maintained as per regulations for 5 yrs. Likely it will be required if you wish to have another facility see your pet.

We would like to inform you that from now until April 11 we will email you your file without cost. After this time, we will be charging a small administration fee to cover the doctor's time required to send the file.

Please email [email protected] and provide your name and each pet whose file you would like emailed to you.

It is time to come clean…To our dearest clients, we must announce that the current location of Solstice Veterinary Clinic will be closing as of March 27, 2025.

Dr. Taylor Sobchuk will be relocating and changing the scope of the practice to be a home based/ambulatory canine and equine integrative rehab (physio) entity.

You will not be left alone though! Dr. Catherine Rouleau will be returning to locum practice and will be in the area. Gate Park Veterinary Clinic will be opening in the area to service your pet needs, so you will be in good hands.

We thank everyone for their trust and support with your pets’ care the past 3.5 years!!

We'd like to inform County residents about a local outbreak of canine distemper.

The Grande Prairie Regional Pound is aware of this and is proactively taking steps to reduce the risk to the public and their pets.

Here’s what you can do to protect your dogs:

> If your dog’s vaccinations are not up to date, avoid dog parks and areas where pets gather.
> Ensure your dog is vaccinated. Distemper primarily affects unvaccinated animals of all ages.
> Do not let your pets roam at large to reduce exposure risks.

If your dog has not received their vaccinations, contact your veterinarian. Taking precautions now can help keep your pets safe and healthy.

Christmas holidays are getting close! We will be closed December 23 until January 3 to allow our staff time to enjoy the holidays with their families.

Take stock of your food and medications and make sure you have all you need during the time off! We ask that any special orders be placed by Tuesday, December 17 so that we can get them to you end of day Thursday December 19.
