Coming from a family with a long history filled with great horses and good horsemen, Clint Swales has horse training in his blood. He started his competitive carrier at the age of 3 when he and his father, Peter Swales won a lead line class at a local Light Horse Show.
Thereafter, Clint went on to compete in calf roping, team roping, cutting, and reined cowhorse. He experienced success in the Reined Cowhorse arena and grew a business dedicated to training these incredible athletes for this competition. Noteworthy titles include:
Clint credits a big part of his success to a horse named Pure Latigo, owned by Bob OâCallaghan. The duo were the first Canadians to bring home a NRCHA Championship title: 2008 NRCHA World Champion Ltd. Open Hackamore. This launched his career and filled his barn with talented horses and supportive owners dedicated to the reined cowhorse. These horses put Clint through multiple titles, such as:

Another exceptional horse that crossed Clintâs path is Twice The Bet, he recognised the potential of the their partnership and purchased the mare as a 3 year old. Then in 2010 he again won the NRCHA World Champion Ltd. Open Hackamore, aboard Twozer. In the summer of 2011 Clint had an incident with the Kabota and broke his leg, this forced him into a short vacation from the arena but in 2012 he came back strong.

As of the beginning of 2018, there are big plans in the making. Clint will be going down to Fort Worth, Texas for the NRCHA Celebration of Champions and has Two entered in Worldâs Greatest Horseman. Levi is entered in the Ltd. Open Hackamore. Clint will also be coaching non-pros throughout the event.
