DID YOU THINK WE'D FORGET?? Not on your life!
Alpha might be gone but he will NEVER be forgotten! * French follows / Francais suit....

Allow me to refresh your memory....
6 years ago today on Foucault Street in Grenville, was one of the most heartwrenching rescues I've ever had to do, and one that I will never ever forget for as long as those horrible images remain in my head, I'm going to keep you, reminding you, Alpha's killer of what you did to him!! You think it's fun taking out a cross-bow and shooting animals through the spine and leaving them there to suffer in agony for over 24 hours!!! How many more have you killed for fun before you shot Alpha and left him to suffer like that? Even now cats are still disappearing in Grenville. I made the mistake of returning 4 feral cats to their colony after they were spayed and neutered. It was the first time that I have ever returned a few cats to their colony after having them sterilized and it was the last time.

Was this someone's sick idea of fun? Target practice? Was his killer hired to take out a few cats here and there? Just thinking out loud. Did you make the mistake of thinking that nobody would notice? Oooops, I guess you were wrong because, we noticed! With help from some friends, we cleaned up that colony. All 22 cats were spayed, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and even treated for parasites. Not once but twice. Some of the cats we found homes for and for the more feral cats we made the decision to return them to the only place they came to know as their home, and for what? After only 3 short months Alpha was savagely attacked! We rushed him to the vet in Lachute where he was humanely put to sleep after suffering and entire day and night in agony, not to mention terrified! I held him in my arms as he was fighting to survive, I have so much that I still want to say about this but I'll add more another time. I just want the "Cat Killer" to know that we haven't forgotten. There's only a few hunters in the area that like to use a bow for fun. We just need for one person to come forward and tell us the truth or eventually someone will speak up or say something to the wrong person and that's how we'll find out. Your days are numbered too. It's just a matter of time. How long can someone keep a secret? Eventually someone is going to slip because lies and secrets alway come out !

Check out the photos (sorry some may be graphic) and see some of the many that have mysteriously disappeared.

I wish they would!

Some shelters struggle every single day just to feed the cats they rescue. Meanwhile, tons of perfectly usable food get thrown away. 🥺
Imagine how many hungry stray cats could be helped if grocery stores donated unsold food instead of wasting it. Even small acts of kindness can save lives. ❤️🐾

How many cats need to be homeless in communities before it's considered at crisis levels? Who's going to count them and why do we have to wait that long before the towns step in to help us? 🤔

OSN has the resources and is partnered up with 3 Quebec vet clinics who are helping us by offering discounted prices. We have also partnered up with the SD&G SPCA in Cornwall who offers to help us transport cat to the clinics. With their help, we have sterilized over 3,000 +++ cats in communities around Ontario and Quebec and I do this as a volunteer free of charge and have dedicated the last 17 years of my life to helping cats. So why aren't municipalities getting on board to help us? 🤔

As one rescue of many, should we just stop trapping and sterilizing all cats until it reaches crisis levels and wait for communities to reach out to us? Should we wait until it gets to that point? Seriously? Or, will municipalities assign someone to put out poison or bring in coyotes and other predator animals to do the job and risk the safety of it's citizens? It makes more sense to me if we nip it in the bud before it gets to that point, don't you think? What happened to humanity? Don't forget the the cats didn't ask to be homeless, it was forced on them!

I know that to most non-cat lovers and some council members in most municipalities it's "just cats" to them, but if this were dogs, it would have been taken care of a long time ago!!

Cats and kittens are starving to death trying to survive, dying in agony from transmittable diseases, hypothermia and being hit and run over. They're being killed by cruel people who shoot them with pellet guns and cross-bows, and poisons are being set out, yet nothing is done about it!
All we ask for is a little help so that we can continue to help these abandoned pets, community strays and feral cat colonies so that we can keeping the numbers under control by the only humane solution that works! Spay & Neuter is not only the most humane solution, but homeless cats live happier, healthier lives which reduces the risk of wildlife from entering into communities, towns and cities looking for easy prey which could also result in owned pets and small children being viciously attacked and and possibly killed. Is it really worth the risk???

There's no need to abandon your pets, when you now have options... SPAY & NEUTER them!!
