Please be patient as your request will be answered ASAP, because I'm approximately 3 weeks behind schedule as this has been a very challenging time for me right now, especially with one man down and 3 clinics to book appointments for, so my plate is beyond full right now with all the extra chores around the house, home, rescue and s/n program.

A word from the dog

My name is Tokyo. I'm a 2 year and 2 month old mix Rottweiler & German Shepherd female dog. In the words of my owner, I am the most playful dog he's ever had. I love to cuddle, stare in my owners' eyes and follow him everywhere. On a good night, I get to lick his feet when he steps out of the shower and late at night, jump in his warm bed by his feet. I've lots of energy, love to take walks and just lay cool and sleep as much as I can. Much to my owner's regret, I have to find a new home due to irreconcilable differences with my owner's landlord. I'm looking for a new home that will provide me with as much love as I will give back.

IMPORTANT NOTICE from Operation Spay & Neuter Hawkesbury...
Please be advised that OSN's mission is about controlling the overpopulation of abandoned pets, homeless, barn and feral cats (both domestic and exotic throw-a-ways).

But more and more people are coming to us with Exotic pets that they purchase off of Kijiji, FaceBook and from Breeders. We are not in business to keep backyard breeders in business!

This program is NOT intended to help anyone who can afford the cost of a purebred cat simply to save money to have it declawed a later date by vets still practicing this cruel and inhumane act. If you're worried about your furniture then please don't own a cat! Nor are we here to save you money so that you can turn around and sell the cat for the sake of making a profit off of it!! Unless you can prove that your exotic pet was actually a rescue from a bad situation, or adopted from a reputable cat rescue (though any good rescue will usually have their cats sterilized before adopting them out), or that you acquired this cat from a deceased person or hoarding situation then I'm afraid I may have to decline your application because I / OSN must also follow the agreement made with the vet clinics. If you can afford to purchase an exotic pet then please consult your own veterinarian or contact me as I would be very happy to recommend one for you!

Our true mission and our goal is to help get abandoned pets (cats) off the streets and back into homes where they belong; allow barn cats and feral colony cats a chance to live happier and healthier lives without being able to endlessly add to the overpopulation crisis. We help low-income families and individuals including low-income seniors and veterans to keep their pets by offering lower cost / reduced prices.

* We DO NOT offer low-cost sterilization prices for dogs. Maybe someday down the road but not now. Cats ONLY!

Update : Buddy was found deceased on the side of the road in Les Coteaux, Quebec.
Thank you to Jamie Huntzinger for finding him and contacting me. We now have closure to this horrible le ordeal. RIP Buddy 💔

If you are in the St-Zotique area and have seen or are feeding our missing cat please let us know. Pay particular attention to late night cat fights. Buddy is not neutered so he could still be getting into fights with other cats over mating rights and territory. Please let us know if you see him. He may have found Refuge in or around a wooded area, a shed or a garage. Someone may be feeding him or managed to take him indoors! He could still be anywhere in the vicinity of La Griffe Veterinary Clinic.

NO MORE EXCUSES! Not with 3 sterilization clinics on board! With over 605 cats sterilized last year do you know how many lives we all helped to save from a lifetime of uncertainty and suffering?? Thousands!! Think about it... If one pair of un-altered cats and their offspring can produce 420,000 cats in just 7 years, how many do you think 300 pairs can produce in seven year?? 126,000,000 cats!!!
Kitten season is right around the corner so now's the time to do something about it before you end up with an even bigger problem!!
