Horsin Around Riding Ranch 2 hours from Toronto, 90 min from Oshawa, 45 min from Belleville 50 min from peterborough Some for as long as 30 years!

We offer family Trail Rides, Pony Rides, Riding Lessons, Group Events, Girls Riding Camps as well as our Farm Fresh Eggs to the public. Our horses are like family members to us and have been with us for many years. We only use Orthoflex saddles on our horses which means they are always happy to be on the trail and NEVER rush back to the barn. The memory foam in the seat makes it an enjoyable ride

for our customers! Our trails go through our hay fields, along the Trans Canada trail (which runs through the middle of our property), through our hardwood bush and pine forest and a nice stroll up an old country road. Our 4 mile ride takes us to the Crowe River where the horses like to stop for a drink. It is incredibly beautiful at this location. RIDING LESSONS: Our lesson program is currently full and we cannot accept any additional students at this time.

JULY 28/29/30, 2026... OUR FINAL SCOUTS CAMP. We sure had a busy 3 days. We were grooming ponies and pony riding (we took the kids on a 1.5 mile hike!!), pony painting, scavenger hunting at the river, trailer rides through the cows, and so much more. I'm still waiting on pictures to come in from everyone. We haven't had a spare second since camp with the long weekend starting on friday. I will get them posted as soon as I have them. :)

GIRLS FARM/HORSE CAMP - July 21/22/23, 2026. Last day! Today flew by but we squeezed a lot in. Because horse ownership isn't all fun and games, the girls got to experience 20 minutes of stacking hay in the barn this morning. And they excelled at it. We hit the trail again today and added the "mushroom trail" to the mix. We finished up with a quick dip in the river. We are looking forward to seeing a few of the girls back at the Aug 10/11/12 camp. There is still room for a couple more if anyone wants to sign up again. We try to keep each camp a little different so they are always learning something at each one. It was so nice to see the exchanges of phone numbers going on after each of our camps. New friends means new memories and adventures! I will have more pictures as they are sent to me from the other helpers.

GIRLS FARM/HORSE CAMP - July 21/22/23, 2026. Yesterday was sure quite a challenge with the torrential rains. But the girls filled in their time practicing their riding skills on the barrels and even had a competition. These girls like to win! They painted some horses, learned how to use a stethoscope properly to find their heart rate, the horses heart rate and gut sounds. They learned about colic and how to keep a horse comfortable until the vet arrives. Today we made up for lost time! They they played the rein game that taught them how to use the reins once they were on the horse, rode ba****ck and played games including musical stalls. After lunch we saddled up and hit the trails. There are lots more pictures to come, this is just a sneak preview.
