Canine Cuddles n' Care is now officially closed (as of May 23rd, 2025). What an emotional week it has been.
There are so many things that I want to say but I think it's best to try and keep it short. To have the best job in the entire world end after massive efforts and compromise to try and keep your dream alive, is absolutely devasting.
To be unable to establish a vast network of other pet professionals in my new community is disappointing. A pet professional's FIRST responsibilty is the dog (or other pet) that has been entrusted in your care, and all decisions (business and otherwise) should be holistic and in the best interest of your client dog and their family. Having a mutually respected network of other pet professionals is paramount to providing holistic care and support. To my former network in Hamilton/Niagara - thank you for doing all that you do - and well done! 👏
To all of my clients, which totalled over 200 since 2014, THANK YOU for the best 11 years of my life! ❤You gave me true happiness and fulfillment for which I will be forever grateful. I will miss you all so much.
To all my doggie friends, thank you for all of the hugs, kisses, smiles, tail wags, and adventures!!! And even for all the p**p-scooping, being peed on, exploding p**p bags (yep, that happened once), and for my hairy clothes and car, I loved every minute of it. I will miss you all the most. 🐕
To all of my social media followers, thank you! Your "followship" is what helps keep small businesses alive and relevant. I wouldn't have been as successful without you.
I'm not really sure what this next part of my life is going to look like, but I hope that I find this happiness again. I will be forever grateful and will never forget all of your love and support. 🙏
