No, it's NOT Bern. I've been getting a much higher percentage of negative reviews on google during this transition period and I just wanted to reaffirm to my amazing loyal customers over these past six years the store/grooming hours lately are not on purpose to be an inconvenience to you, things just come up. Please read the google reviews before you slight me. However, I must be honest and remind everyone, if your pets need a nail trim or a groom, get it in sooner rather than later because I might not be sometimes open until the end of this month. It has always broken my heart knowing customers in the area might be struggling financially but your pets need, on average, a monthly nail trim and a groom every 3months....Not greediness, honesty. I might be gone in 3 days....

🧪 What Every Proactive Pet Parent Should Understand: BLOODWORK.

Whether you're tracking your pet’s health through yearly checkups or navigating a chronic condition, understanding their bloodwork is one of the most powerful things you can do. 💪🐶🐱

Most of us rely on the vet to interpret those test results—but wouldn’t it be great to actually know what those letters and numbers mean?

While every value on your pet’s bloodwork plays a role, these 6 essential blood markers give a powerful snapshot of your pet’s kidney, liver, immune, and metabolic health…and they often shift before clinical symptoms appear, making them key tools for early intervention.

Together, they can uncover issues like infection, anemia, organ dysfunction, dehydration, or chronic disease well before your pet shows obvious signs.

Today at 12pm EST on the Inside Scoop, board-certified veterinary oncologist Dr. Kendra Pope joins us to break down:
🧪 The different types of blood tests and when your pet needs them
🧪 How to prep your pet for a blood draw (yes, fasting sometimes matters!)
🧪 What values to track over time—trends can be more important than a single number
🧪 What abnormal results really mean—and what to ask your vet

⚠️ PLUS: What to do when you find a lump or bump on your pet and what to do next!

See you soon!

Professional grooming offers essential benefits for your Shih Tzu 🐾. While at-home grooming is important, professional groomers have specialized skills to manage your dog’s dense, long coat with precision.

They use high-quality, professional-grade tools and shampoos designed specifically for Shih Tzus, ensuring a thorough and comfortable grooming experience. This level of care helps with detangling mats, trimming, and deep cleaning.

Grooming professionals can also apply treatments to address coat issues, like dryness or oiliness, which enhances overall coat health.

Regular grooming sessions not only help keep your Shih Tzu looking great but also promote bonding. It desensitizes your dog to handling, making future grooming and vet visits easier.

Ultimately, professional grooming is vital to keeping your Shih Tzu healthy, comfortable, and looking their best 😊.

Centennial Parkway was expanded in the 1950s into a four-lane road as the escarpment access proved to be the most popular traffic route to get from Upper Saltfleet (via Highway 20) to Hamilton.

Stoney Creek became known for its traffic circle at the QEW/Centennial Parkway interchange. The traffic circle at the end of the Parkway lasted until 1981(?)
