We would like to welcome Bear to our Watzin fam, he was such a good boy for his first visit with Dr Adam. He is an 8 month old Pomeranian who didn’t seem to mind being snuggled and cuddled for his baby nail trim. How could we not do a little Christmas photo shoot today with him?! ❤️

What a week! 💚🐾

As RVT Appreciation Week comes to a close, we want to give a huge thank you to all of our incredible
Registered Veterinary Technicians at Watzin Veterinary Clinic — Jen, Allyssa, Tanner, and Shannon.

We also want to give a huge shoutout to our Veterinarian Assistants, Chantelle, Maddy and Jessica! Our VA’s take on many roles which make them essential to our clinic to which we are ever so grateful. From taking X-rays, to collecting samples for ear cytologies, to helping your pet stay calm during their visit, they are there to help in anyway they can!
Chantelle, we thank you. Chantelle manages our inventory, and works amazingly hard every day in helping with many aspects of the appointments. She assists the RVT’s and the doctors while they manage patient care. She has worked at Watzins since 2016 … her dog Maisie always by her side.
Maddie, working a dual role, balances her week between working as a VA, and also taking shifts as a CCR. She is a lover off all dogs, especially beagles. She spends her nights walking her dog Chip, who is, you guessed it, a beagle… thank you Maddy!
Jessica has been with Watzins since 2012, starting out as kennel staff and worked her way up to become an amazing vet assistant who leans into taking on a lot of jobs that a technician does. She is often bouncing from one appointment to another and helps the doctors, the techs and the front staff complete their tasks each day. She has two lovely labs named Penny and Leo! Thank you Jess!

Overall, we want to thank this amazing team. You all work so hard every day, helping so many pets get the treatment they need. ❤️

FRIDAY

Happy Friday — and our final RVT Week spotlight! 💚🐾

Today we’re celebrating Shannon, (right side of photo with her beautiful daughter) one of our incredible Registered Veterinary Technicians who has been part of the Watzin Veterinary Clinic family since 2007!

Shannon is a proud Sheridan College graduate — completing both the Animal Care program (2007) and the
Veterinary Technician program (2011) — and is also Fear Free Certified. She’s deeply passionate about
feline care and has helped shape Watzin into the fear-free, cat-friendly clinic we are today. 🐱

Shannon especially loves dentistry, finding it so rewarding to see the transformation in a pet’s comfort and health after a dental procedure. Her compassion, experience, and love for animals have made her an essential part of our team — and we’re so
lucky to have her!

At home, Shannon shares life with her Ragdoll cat, Henry, who is truly
purrfect. And when she’s not at the clinic, you might find her traveling with her husband — she’s been to
Disney World over 30 times and has visited 3 of the 6 Disney parks around the world, with plans to visit them all someday! ✨🏰

Thank you, Shannon, for your years of dedication, care, and leadership. Watzin wouldn’t be the same without you! 💚

Drop a 🐱, 🏰, or 💚 in the comments to help us celebrate Shannon and wrap up

It’s Day 4 of RVT Appreciation Week, and today we’re celebrating Tanner! 💚🐾

Tanner has been part of the Watzin Veterinary Clinic team for 4 years, and this year marks a very special milestone — it’s her
first RVT Week since graduating from Georgian College! 🎉

She’s Fear Free Certified and brings such a calm, compassionate energy to every patient she meets. While she loves all aspects of veterinary care,
Exotic Animal Medicine has always fascinated her — she enjoys the unique challenges and variety it brings.

What Tanner loves most about her job? Her team, and the meaningful connections she builds with clients and their pets. She’s a valued teammate who brings positivity, curiosity, and heart to everything she does. 💚

At home, Tanner’s furry and not-so-furry family includes Duke and Maverick (dogs),
Kona, otherwise known as Koney Chicken Nugget, her beloved Dalmatian, plus a small crew of adorable pocket pets — (2 Ferrets Terry & Nova) Help us congratulate Tanner on her first RVT Week by dropping a 🎓, 🐹, or 💚 in the comments!

It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time for another RVT Week spotlight! 💚🐾

Today we’re celebrating Allyssa, one of our amazing Registered Veterinary Technicians who has been part of the
Watzin Veterinary Clinic family since 2011!

Allyssa is a Northern College graduate and is proudly Fear Free Certified — bringing calm, compassionate care to every patient she meets. She’s passionate about helping animals feel better and especially loves the variety and challenge of the
surgical cases we see at the clinic.

At home, Allyssa’s crew includes Dexter Harold (dog), Joey Tribbiani (cat), and
Lucy (snake) — so it’s no surprise that she dreams of one day having her very own
farm or zoo, complete with everything from crocodiles to horses! 🐊🐴

Thank you, Allyssa, for your dedication, skill, and the kindness you bring to every patient and teammate at Watzin. We’re so grateful to have you on our team!

Show Allyssa some love in the comments with a 🐍, 🦎, or 💚!

Happy Tuesday — and welcome to our first staff highlight for RVT Appreciation Week! 💚🐾

We’re kicking things off by celebrating Jen, our amazing Lead Registered Veterinary Technician here at Watzin Veterinary Clinic!

Jen has been part of our Watzin family since 2011, and we’re so lucky to have her guiding our team with her expertise, kindness, and calm confidence. A
Seneca College graduate and Fear Free Certified professional, Jen is passionate about
surgery and pain management, ensuring our patients get the best care and comfort possible.

She loves being able to make a difference in the lives of both pets and their people — and we can’t imagine our clinic without her leadership and heart. 💚

At home, Jen shares her life with two adorable cats, Keanu and Nacho, and when she’s not caring for our furry friends, you might find her visiting the
Tropical Greenhouse with her family (even though she admits she knows nothing about plants 🌿).

Thank you, Jen, for everything you do for our team, clients, and patients every day!

Drop a 🌸 or a 💚 in the comments to help us celebrate Jen!

Meet Theo! The sweetest baby kitten weighing in at .85 of a kilo! This little grey/silver Tabby had no problem exploring the exam room, basically weighed himself and then sat on his own paperwork! He loved to play with the toys provided and swooned all the girls. Excited to have you part of our Watzin fam!

Happy Birthday to Maisie!🐶🎂
Our resident treat tester (Hypo or cheese only please) turned 8 today! Maisie comes to work every day with her mama Chantelle and helps her do her work by managing the inventory count and stocking the food orders. Her side duties include supervising guinea pig nail trims and being an emotional support aid for stressed pets that need a little reassurance when coming to the treatment room. Maisie has been a working gal since she was a baby dog and enjoys having all her aunties feed her snacks when she comes up to the scale. When she’s had a long day, you’ll find her napping under the cat food shelf in her cozy bed, or she can be found lounging on the couch on her lunch break. Let’s all wish Maisie an extra happy birthday today!
