Nature in Floral Design:
It’s more than a style or a few descriptive words like seasonal, wildflower, naturalistic.
It’s knowing where your flowers came from. Finding them in nature in your area, seeking out ethical seed and plant nurseries to buy them from, and starting your own garden with them. As they get more established you cut from them, start to incorporate them in your designs more and more until they become the focus.
It’s a lifestyle more than a design choice because it is wanting to be part of the whole process and letting nature dictate what you grow. It’s a privilege, hard work, and a joy.
