Timon, the only thing I could not protect you from was time.
Words fall short to describe my deep excruciating grief, how you were the most beautiful and perfect being, how loved you were by all who met you (humans and animals), how extraordinarily special our 18 years of bond was, my sweet soulmate. Counting down my days until we meet on the rainbow bridge, and I get to hold you and whisper sweet nothings again.
