March 18th-24, 2019 is Poison Prevention Week. Below are the 10 most common toxins Pet Poison Helpline gets calls about. Remember, some poisons on the list are severely toxic while others are only minimally so. Pet Poison Helpline is an animal poison control service available to pet owners and veterinary professionals in Canada, the United States and the Caribbean, and can be a wonderful resource if you think your pet may have ingested a potential toxin.

Another internet appearance by Timmy Tucker the wonder dog!

Did you know that November is Senior Pet Month?

At the Metro Animal Emergency Clinic, we see a lot of senior pets. A LOT. Just because these guys are seniors doesn't mean they won't get into trouble like any other pet! And of course, our staff gets to share their lives with a lot of senior pets as well.

Meet Timmy Tucker! Timmy belongs to veterinary assistant Caroline. She says :

"Timmy Tucker, 12.5 year old male neutered beagle cross.

Despite his beagle brain telling him to eat everything he shouldn't ( several pounds of chocolate over the years, 20 pound bag of kibble), a splenectomy and countless porcupine encounters, Timmy is still going strong! He loves the beach, car rides, all people and all dogs, and especially loves to fetch the ball. He is living senior hood to the max :)"
