The highest compliment a dog can give me? Falling asleep 😂🤩.

During our very first nail care session, this sweet guy completely drifted off! The video almost looks like a photo, he was so relaxed!

Dogs are incredibly intuitive and read our energy instantly. From the moment we met, Adam knew he was safe 🤍.

No force, no rushing. Just pure trust and Cooperative Care.

Our community has grown to 500 people! 🐾🎉

My heart is just so full! I’m here because I care deeply about giving dogs a voice in their own care, and to know that there are hundreds of like-minded pet parents right here following along on this journey is just incredible.

That’s an entire community of people who believe that nail care sessions don't have to be a wrestling match. People who are learning to listen to their dogs, understand their communication, and teach them that they are safe, loved, and have a choice.

Whether you’ve been here since day one or you just hit follow today: thank you for putting your dog's emotional safety first.

Cooperative care for the win! ❤️

One of the absolute best parts of my day is meeting so many different dog breeds and unique personalities 🤗.

Every dog requires a slightly different approach, and earning their trust is the best part ✨️🤎.

Swipe through to see just a few of the wonderful faces I have the pleasure of working with.

What is your favourite dog breed, or do you love a classic mixed breed? Tell me about your dog’s personality in the comments!

Because she has a history of knowing she is safe, heard, and in control of her own body, she can just relax and participate on her own terms 🤗.

While specific cooperative care positions—like a chin rest or a lateral flop—are incredible for boosting confidence in dogs with body handling sensitivities, cooperative care is a spectrum.

True cooperative care simply means our dogs have the total choice to leave... but they choose to stay.

There is no force, no physical restraint, and no unnecessary stress. Just pure trust and voluntary participation. ✨

Have you ever played It’s Your Choice?

This is foundational impulse control game that helps your dog understand they have agency and choice in their daily life.

It teaches them to slow down and choose a calm pause on their own!

We use it constantly in Cooperative Care because that mental shift is exactly what makes nail care sessions so stress-free and successful.

Have you played this with your dog before, or do you want the step-by-step instructions to learn?

Let me know below!

Big shout out to for being the best boy✨️🐾.

That big exhale? That’s the sound of a nervous system finding safety.

In my world, a sigh isn't just a sigh—it’s a "reset." It’s the moment the body lets go of tension and moves into a state of openness and learning.

We spend so much time teaching dogs what to do, but sometimes the most important thing we can do is create an environment where they feel safe enough to just be.

Did your dog take their "system reset" breath today?

I might be known for my calm vibes, but behind the scenes, I am doing a full-on celebratory dance for this girl! Watching Tullo rock this chin rest is everything.

It looks like a simple move, but there is so much going on behind the scenes. Here is the truth about what it takes to get here:

1️⃣ It takes time. Sometimes months! Building trust is the most important part of my job. We don’t rush the process; we move at the dog's pace. If we need to spend weeks just hanging out before the tools even come out, that’s exactly what we do.

2️⃣ "No" is a full sentence. It sounds backwards, but honouring a "stop" is actually the secret to getting a "yes." When Tullo knows she has the power to opt-out, she finds the confidence to opt-in.

3️⃣ Teamwork makes the dream work. This isn't something I’m doing to her; it’s something I’m doing with her. When we stop treating body handling like a chore and start treating it like a conversation, the fear disappears and the real magic happens.

Seeing that lightbulb go off is why I do what I do. Cooperative care isn't just about the "procedure"—it’s about the partnership!
