Yes Furrriends we are in need of more volunteers!
This position is in the evenings every Tuesday, or every other Tuesday (if weekly doesn't work for you) between 5pm and 7pm.

Here's a description of what you'll be doing:

The night rounds/dinner rounds shift requires care for every room (except for the New Arrivals Room). This involves visiting each room to provide dinner, fresh water, and a light tidy of the litter box if needed.

This shift usually takes place between 5 PM and 7 PM, allowing you to start at any time within that window, and it typically takes about two hours.

Many of our volunteers prefer to work in pairs (parents with children, partners, friends), as this makes the task more manageable and reduces the time needed, however we do have volunteers who work on their own to do this shift and have no issues.

Happy Halloween!

I dropped off my first two Dalmatians with Horace and Jasper, then went to find more. I couldn’t find another Dalmatian, so I took the dogs home. I’ll try again tomorrow.

No dogs were harmed in the making of this post. Fearful dogs were not used in this playful skit.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of one of my beloved clients/patients. For such a little guy, Roo had a huge personality. He was entertaining, feisty, smart, goofy, and loving. He always had me laughing and took up a big space in my heart ♥️. Roo did need special people in his life, who understood him, accepted him for who he is, and who would take the time to make him feel comfortable and safe. I’m so grateful Roo saw me and my family as a safe place for him, when his loving mommy was away. Roo will be missed SO much.

Each of your beloved pets hold such a special place in my heart and although it’s hard to say goodbye, I will never change my course in life. I do feel as though I’m doing what I’m meant to be doing. Working with animals brings me such joy, even in the face of heartbreak when they leave us.

I will miss you Roo, see you on the other side of the rainbow bridge 🌈
