Have you heard of our Alumni Walks?

This type of training is for dogs that have graduated from our program and have responded well to reinforcers such as toys, treats, and praise. This program reinforces basic to advanced obedience and behaviour training through daytime training walks. Plus, your pup will get to model desensitization to other learning dogs at a distance! This training allows the Alumni to generalize all the training they have learned and build their skills in new and exciting places.

Meet another member of the Smith Canine Academy Team; we're excited to introduce Anna! They have worked with us since September 2020 and are our go to expert for behavioural modification and reactivity training :)​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Anna has worked with rescues and shelters since 2017. Growing up with pets inspired Anna to pursue working with animals. They majored in zoology with a minor in ecology. When working with dogs, their passion is taking on fearful/behaviour cases and helping pups live fear-free and confident. Anna is a certified dog trainer through CCPDT and they are happy to help make your pets' lives the best they can be!

Our Story

Walk with Zoey was born out of its owners, Stacey and James, experience with their own dog, Zoey. Zoey was an extremely active, and fearful puppy. She needed ongoing training on her walks to help her build confidence and channel her energy. Stacey began a dog walking service focused on basic training and socializing for Zoey and her new friends.

As the business began to grow, Stacey gathered a team of dog lovers eager to become dog trainers. Over the next two years they studied and honed their skills together. With the support and feedback from their amazing clients they developed walk and play based training cuirriculms.

Today, Walk with Zoey offers multiple curriculums through daytime outings, private training and online training. Walk with Zoey focuses on creating personal connection with each family, supporting them in every aspect of their training journey. Zoey still leads the way teaching the team new things each day and snuggling in the office with the staff.
