When it comes to change, we often think we should be able to change everything, and if things don't go exactly as planned, we see it as a failure.
The "Circles of Control" theory helps us set realistic expectations for success. Imagine three concentric circles - put those things you have direct control over in the central circle, things you can only influence in the next circle and things that concern you, but you can't influence, in the outer circle. It's important not to judge success solely by things you can't control or influence. Instead of setting goals beyond your control, focus on what you can manage. For instance, you can't control whether you get hired, but you can control how many jobs you apply for, the effort you put in, and how you present yourself in interviews.
Take charge of what you can, and accept what you can't. And if you need some help, get in touch!
