On February 11th, Canada’s Agriculture Day, we celebrate the farmers who work tirelessly to feed us.

Growing up, meals were a reminder of gratitude. With a mother who was a culinary activist, we learned the importance of supporting local food. Today, we proudly carry that message forward.

Canadian cuisine is as diverse as the people who call this country home. Supporting those who grow and harvest our food means choosing local, reading labels, and sharing their stories.

Dust off your capes and witches' hats because the much-anticipated Downtown Guelph Trick-or-Treat event is back for its 7th year! On Saturday, October 26th, from 12:00pm until supplies run out, the streets of Downtown Guelph will come alive with ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and more in this free, all-ages Halloween extravaganza.

Bring your finest costumes and set out on a candy-hunting adventure through over 70 participating local businesses, each offering their own tricks or treats. Looking for an alternative to all the candy? Come to the farm where we've got *spoookled* pea and *ghoulrabi* microgreens 🌱, plus *boo* oyster mushrooms🍄‍🟫 that could scare the sugar right out of you! 👻

Whether you're a kid, a parent, or just a Halloween enthusiast, everyone is invited to enjoy this *fang*tastic afternoon of fun.

Start your adventure by picking up a Trick-or-Treat map at one of five locations across downtown:

Apple Salon | Guelph Public Library | Speedy Auto | The Waning Moon Metaphysical Shop | St. George’s Square

The map will guide you to all the participating businesses, but beware – once the candy runs out, the stores will be removed from the list, so don’t delay! The full list of businesses is also available on the website, so you can plan your trick-or-treating route in advance.

But the fun doesn’t stop with just candy! After filling your bags with treats, head over to The Dragon, where you can pick up free comic books. While you’re there, enter a raffle for a chance to win an incredible gift basket, packed with goodies and prizes from various Downtown Guelph businesses – valued at thousands of dollars!

First-time customers Leslie and Gerry Rowsom "accidentally" found us this week, and quickly followed up with a lovely email to show off their dinner and tell us they're hooked!

Fried blue oyster and lion's mane mushrooms with speckled pea, radish and hot honey mustard microgreen blend served over a garlic and nutritional yeast linguine. Wow! Thanks for sharing ☺️
