I’m thinking about holding another Leash Walk this Sunday April 19th from 11:00am-12:00pm starting at the Greenwood Pet Valu! $25 per dog.

A great leash walk this morning with a wonderful group! We were able to practise different scenarios that dogs sometimes struggle with on walks, and set the dogs up for success! This included: walking past barking dogs, pushing noisy shopping carts, walking towards and through a group of dogs, stopping and settling during the walk, walking in a group of dogs but not being able to interact with them, walking around vehicles and in front of stores! Super impressed with this group! Two of these pups are less than 5 months old and did amazing!

🐾 Leash Walk Training Session 🐾

📅 This Sunday, April 12th from 9:30-10:30am
📍 Meet outside Greenwood Pet Valu
🚶‍♀️ We’ll walk through the nearby subdivisions

This won’t be a full hour of walking — we’ll start with some training tips, then stop along the way to work through common leash-walking challenges.

👉 What to bring:
✔️ Lots of high-value treats
✔️ A treat pouch
✔️ Your dog on leash (no flexi-leads, please)
⚠️ Please note: this is not a dog socialization event. Pups will not be meeting or physically interacting with other dogs during the walk.

I’m now taking registrations for my next round of classes, running Wednesday evenings!

🐶 Class: Essential Life Skills Part 1
🕕 Time: 6:00 – 7:00 PM
📅 Dates: April 22nd - May 27th (6-week session)
💲 Cost: $200 + HST
📍 Location: Nicholsville Community Hall
(413 Victoria Road, Aylesford, NS)

Skills Covered: games-based training that helps dogs improve handler focus, engagement, self-control, boundaries/place, and confidence! Plus lots of training tips and techniques!

Two sets of classes wrapped up last Wednesday!

I had a wonderful group of dogs in Essential Life Skills Part 1, almost all returning students - it was so rewarding to see the progress in all of these dogs and their humans!

My first ever Introduction to Canine Conditioning class went better than I could have imagined! All the dogs and owners picked up the fitness exercises so quickly! 🤩

Another group of awesome handlers and dogs finished the Introduction to Agility Workshop! We had a few returning dogs that grew their skills and didn’t hesitate at all going through the tunnels! All the new dogs did great and it was so cool to see their progression from the beginning of the workshop to the end! It was a tad chilly, but the dogs left tired, happy, and maybe a little dirty 🐶

Thanks everyone for coming out to try something new with your dogs!
