🐾 Parasite Prevention Season Is Coming! 🐾
As the weather warms up, fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites start becoming more active — and even indoor cats can be at risk with potting soil and insects. . Cats who sneak outside to explore or hunt are especially vulnerable.
What to watch for:
• Fleas – itching, hair loss, skin irritation
• Ticks – attached parasites that can spread disease
• Intestinal worms – weight loss, diarrhea, poor coat quality
Even cats that don’t go outside can pick up parasites from shoes, other pets, or prey brought indoors.
🏢 Cats living in apartment buildings or multi-unit housing should be on year-round prevention. Shared hallways, neighboring pets, and high-density living can increase the risk of parasite exposure — even if your cat never steps outside.
