Lori Johnston, owner of Cachou & Company started her journey into a pet business after a lifetime of being mentored by her aunt who actively rescued & re-homed cats in Sudbury throughout the 70s and 80s, volunteering with local rescue Pet Save Sudbury and after working as a veterinary assistant in 2018 & 2019. After walking away from her most recent careers in retail & fast-food management in 2020

to become primary caregiver for both of her parents, Lori found herself looking for a new, sustainable future doing something that she could fully give her heart & soul to. With her lifelong love of pets, experience caring for them and volunteering in the community to help displaced, abandoned or injured rescue dogs & cats, Lori launched her pet boarding business with a dream of building a pet resort complete with fenced in play areas, a pond, trail system, training facility and grooming salon – a place where pet owners can access all of their pet care needs and feel completely at ease that their beloved pets would be cared for with the utmost love and attention. Lori launched Cachou & Company in December of 2020 in a temporary location while she secured & renovated an appropriately zoned rural property to build her dream. She hosts both cats & dogs, cage-free & kennel-free for both daycare and boarding in an open concept facility. Located just 45 minutes west of Sudbury in Espanola, ON, Lori welcomes pets to come play, enjoy the outdoors and be social with others. She ensures plenty of exercise, a calm, quiet, safe environment and all the love and attention your pet deserves.

Celebrating 5 Years of Miss Bliss Grooming🐾

Five years ago, I opened the doors to my dog grooming salon with a dream of creating a place where pets would be cared for like family. Today, as we celebrate my 5-year anniversary, I am filled with gratitude.

To all of my amazing clients—both two-legged and four-legged—thank you for your trust, loyalty, and support over the years. It has been an absolute privilege to care for your beloved dogs and be part of their lives.

Every wagging tail, happy face, and recommendation to friends and family has helped make this journey possible. Your support has allowed my small business to grow and thrive, and for that, I am truly thankful.

🚨 ATTENTION! 🚨

Public Health Sudbury & Districts has issued a boil water advisory effective immediately for all residents of Sudbury, New Sudbury, Falconbridge, and parts of Garson.

We’d like to remind everyone that this advisory applies to our pets too! During a boil water advisory, it’s recommended to provide pets with bottled water or boiled water that has been cooled before offering it to them.

Drinking contaminated water may lead to gastrointestinal upset, including vomiting and diarrhea. If your pet is experiencing any symptoms that could be related to the water advisory, please contact our clinic. 🐾
