My Bell girl started limping this morning. We’ve had a couple young coyote harassing her by running through the yard.
I’m thinking she must have stepped wrong at some point.

So I pulled out the Goldride 40 pad for dogs legs on the combo light 660-850 on regular and the pulse settings.

She wasn’t sure what was happening. But has settled with it now!!

What a weekend!!!

Up early Saturday morning, picked up my nephew in moose jaw to take him to Lane Quigley to work. Got a great visit with Danita Quigley, watched the boys go a bit wild with the lovely weather outside, then helped give them hair cuts for summer.
Then I was off to Central Butte to visit with Gail Molsberry and deliver her Goldride bell boot light therapy pads.

Then I was off to Saskatoon to a bit of a late visit with Kyla Murch to end a wonderful Saturday. Thank you for asking me to judge the show today it was full of greatness of all sorts!!!

This morning was another early one, as I was excited to get set up to judge my first official dressage show!!
The weather held up for us all day, the bugs were sleeping until early afternoon so we got most of the day free of mosquito bites. And the rain didn’t start until after most horses were put away or in their trailer on the way home!!!

Today was full of emotion. Not only was it full of horses and great people, it’s my mother and father in laws 57th anniversary as well as my baby brother ( he’s 44 today😉)birthday!!

Today also marks 3 years since I said goodbye and laid my yellow unicorn to rest in the backyard at our farm.

Overall. It was a pretty great weekend!!!

One of the greatest things from working with different students through my EAL programming is watching how each of the students has different moments of brilliance!

My programs aren’t set up for students to compete with each other, but to strengthen themselves in their best way….

This week was the last week of full programming for my current student group. Today all three of my students had huge moments of brilliance!

It was so heartwarming to witness!!

Next week is our grad for this fantastic group of students!!!

2026 is our 3rd annual Open House- Meet an Arabian event.
We had our Ranch Olympics set up to start the activities off, everyone started out participating, then slowly dropped off the games list. The three main students and one of my students who rides with me off farm did a little demo of their skills.
We got a few picture in the arena with Miss Mouse but more pictures were taken outside.
We handed out the awards to the students and to the Ranch Olympic winners.
The weather held, the horses were pretty good, I talked as each student worked with their horse and explained what we strive for with our programming.
It was a fantastic day all around!!

This week was full of horses, students and so much learning!!

My EAL students worked really hard to plan, build, make sure it was safe for the horse to go through.
It was really fun watching the students creativity and planning skills develop over the last few weeks, this week negotiation was a big skill that they Dodd great with, Mouse even helped a ton with that one as her main goal was to get out of the hot arena and not participate in the activities. lol!
She made it pretty tough for the guiding ( without tbe lead ropes) through obstacle portion of the week… 😉

My riding student played a couple games as we prep for the open house, they have done a great job with communicating to each other and working as a team, even though one was on a horse and one wasn’t!!

And baby Ciarra, well she is now less grumpy about the bridle ( yes it’s not put on properly🤦🏻‍♀️) but cared more about the splint boots then the surcingle.. 😆

It was a hot week… but it was on filled with greatness!!!

The rest of the week was full of horse things…

We had dental and body work done on Mouse and Emmy-Lou’s gelding Kevin.

I had the pleasure to drive in the crazy wind on Friday to get my next batch of BUCKEYE Nutrition grow n win plus Canpressco oil. I couldn’t believe how the wind changed the farther east I went.

My gas tank sure told me it doesn’t love the wind!!! 😢🤷🏻‍♀️

Stitch was so happy to come along for the ride. He mostly fits on my lap, for a couple minutes anyway. Then it’s uncomfortable. lol!!

I can honestly say I have never driven into such insane walls of dust. And where I was wasn’t even the worst area of blowing.

The first part of the week was full of horses and kids learning!

How often do we use Common Sense in our daily lives? That was our topic.

The first group got to use obstacles that were set up already and they did really well working together to get through all the obstacles together!!

The second group we do things a little different. The kids had to design and obstacle, build it, put it into words so we could write it down and make sure its safe for the other team, using the items they have chosen from the pile in the center.

The we had to work though the other teams obstacles!!

The part I found the most interesting was both kids created a part of their obstacles the same as each other.
