As many of you may know I grew up on a large scale certified organic bee farm in Grovedale Alberta. I spent every summer for as long as I can remember working the bees with my dad, uncles, friends, neighbors, foreign workers and whoever else we could get to help us out. Those were long days of hot, intense, backbreaking work and I loved it! Years later I found I missed the bees and yearned to run
my own hives. That time finally came when my husband and I moved onto an acreage on the city limits of Grande Prairie. The goal of this new bee operation was to make it as simple and enjoyable as possible and the bees rewarded me more than I ever expected! In 2014 the Cottage industry of Hahny Bee Honey was started. I've had so much fun over the past 3 years with the bees, with working with my dad and uncle again, with teaching my own kids, with working with some pretty awesome local Health food stores and coffee shops, and getting to know all the wonderful customers, who have responded so well that I now sell out every year just before the spring honey starts to flow. I love having the opportunity to share this journey with you through my page and when you stop by and I drag you out to my Bee house to see the bees fly! We are so excited to be incorporating Flowhive technology into our operation. This new technology fits in so perfectly with our vision....being gentle on our bees and producing the highest quality natural products. Stay tuned for updates and pics!
