A small but mighty bounty!!! What started with chickens, became a garden and this year it came full circle!

The scraps I feed my chicken become manure, which become fertilizer for my garden. What a blessing it is to harvest your own foods.

Although I don't have the acres I would like at this time in my life, I think I'm doing pretty good with the five raised beds I have!

First time onions (ever) and I started them from seed, as well as first time potatoes and grew them in containers!

One step closer to full time homesteading. 💪

Welcome! And thank you for joining us on our journey to a better life; to the life of our dreams.

And by us I mean myself, my partner, our two dogs and the rest of our little critters here on the funny farm. (Literally only 6 hens 🙃)

We live in a city and are practicing all the skills we can before we truly move onto the real deal. And I plan to document it all!

It's going to be raw and real, happy and sad, victorious and defeating; but worth every learning experience along the way.
