How ... HOW has time gone so fast? It feels like yesterday I was bringing them home from the clinic and now they are old enough to leave and start their own adventures 🖤 It never ceases to be bittersweet!
I was busy all day and didn't get around to getting pictures until the evening. They were tired and uncooperative -except for Green. He's always the model puppy 😂 But they have been going on exploring walks with me, and doing well learning to stay out from under the stroller wheels and also to not bite my pant legs while walking - that one is a work in progress 😏 Everyone is staying until next week, when they will start trickling out to their own homes. I am loving every extra day I have with them!

And just like that they're 7 weeks! They all did super at the vet, and got a clean bill of health. They handled the hour...

And just like that they're 7 weeks! They all did super at the vet, and got a clean bill of health. They handled the hour long drive like pros (no barfing!) and had fun cuddling with the staff at the clinic. The time has come to assign puppies to their anxious families, and I will be contacting you all later today and tomorrow to discuss choices ☺️

⭐6 WEEKS⭐...and now we have moved firmly into the land shark stage! Walking with weights on your ankles is a thing, right?? And the periodic contact of needle teeth with skin just spurs one on to walk faster 😅
They are all doing so great, though. Eating like champions, exploring everywhere and everything, spending more time in the house and taking that in stride, getting hauled around by my toddler- although that is losing some of its appeal for him when they gang up on him 😄
The pups actually cooperated fairly well for photos this morning, except for orange. He was fairly indignant that he had to be held up like that- being the biggest, I don't blame him. He probably couldn't breathe !
We go to the vet tomorrow, and I will be letting you all know at the end of next week which little terror will be joining your life 🩵💙💚💛🧡💜

Today's experience was a tarp. The pups showed no hesitation about piling on and hunting for food...of course Io also had to take part 😄 There are more new videos on the Google link as well!

Happy 5 weeks, puppies! They are getting so busy and so adventurous. They are semi weaned- Vesper has very little interest in allowing those needle sharp teeth anywhere near her! They're eating 3 meals a day and being amazingly consistent with using their potty area. I set up the ramps to the outdoor run two days ago and Miss Smarty Pants Purple is already heading outside to do her business. I continue to introduce something new (almost) daily and they are curious and investigative. I put a crate in their kennel today and Teal immediately curled up inside 🥹 Orange and Green continue to be the most outgoing and bold males; Green is quick to bark and run up to things he doesn't recognize (like me and his dad Draco out in the yard - his eye sight is still developing😂) while Orange is a steady and faithful shadow of mine. Dark Blue is my aloof boy, happy doing his own thing and picking on his siblings. If someone is getting attacked, its bound to be Blue instigating 😄 Teal is playful and the sweetest little pixie. She prefers sitting close- in my lap, in my arms, closer the better. Purple is the ring leader in everything. First to discover any new thing, first out the door, first to notice if her mother comes close to the kennel and first to set up a loud and demanding cry 😏 and Yellow.... my little floof, who is currently square shaped, due to his deep attachment to the food dish. He is the class clown and makes us laugh with his silly antics, which usually involve lying on his back and begging for belly rubs.🖤

Here is a nice long video for all you patient puppy homes! I do apologize for the lack of content, there has been a lot going on lately (as always, but seems extra somehow) and while I have been spending time with and observing the puppies, I do not always get around to posting 🫠
Anyways! Today's novel item was a crackley shopping bag and the pups seemed unconcerned for the most part, although Teal wasn't so sure. It is normal for puppies to be startled by strange new noises or sights, but quick recovery time is important- indicating a stable, confident nature. If any pup continues to show uncertainty or lack of confidence, I will work with them one on one to help build that up. Often, at this young age, a day or two can make a huge difference in response to novelty- eyesight improves a bit, experience proves that bad things don't follow strange noises, etc. Vesper is getting very tired of all the sharp teeth, so I now have the pups on 3 meals a day, with some dry kibble left out at all times- they feel very big crunching away on that 😄
My children (3 & 11 months) make sure the pups get their daily dose of socializing- its adorable to see those fuzzy tails wag double time when the kids appear!

FINALLY the four week pictures! We were gone to my sister's wedding on the weekend and then my kids and husband got the flu 🫠 So things were a little hectic ...but here they are! And what changes this week has brought. All the teeth. All the biting. They are exploring more and want out of their kennel very badly as soon as they hear me coming. They are up to two meals per day and while I have been rotating their toys almost daily it is time to start introducing more novel items. Purple and orange continue to lead the pack in fearless and bold exploration, Yellow and Teal are THE most cuddly and always wanting to snuggle, Green is Mr. Cool and Collected, not the first to rush out the gate but confident in what he decides to do, and Dark Blue is more reserved and would tend to hang back in the pen where its familiar. I will be working on building his confidence.
All in all, they are a very nice bunch of puppies... Yellow with his dark face and sable legs is still sitting in first as my favorite 🥰

Teal girl is the most black & tan, and Yellow is the darkest- I think he will look like his grandpa Midge 🖤 green is the most handsome, dark blue the fluffiest, orange the biggest, and purple the most feisty! At least for now 🤣

Puppies' first meal! They showed quite a bit of interest and enthusiasm for the task... they have been using the grass pads about 50% of the time which is pretty good for their age. Personalities are starting to emerge, with yellow collar being the cuddliest and most likely to fall asleep in your arms and Miss Purple the one most likely to protests being held, although she likes to engage and bite at fingers already 😏
