A little update!
Even before jasmine took in the orphaned pups she had what is called lip fold pyderma. (Trust me, this is something you don't want your dog to ever get) It's a type of infection that once your dog gets, it's very hard to get rid of. She had this going on since last November. Several rounds of antibiotics and it would always come back. In a simple explanation, Jasmine had a raw, itchy spot on either side of her mouth on her jawline from this. Last resort is surgery. So I finally decided we needed to do surgery in hopes it would fix this problem. Poor girl. Sure enough it was all ulcerated and what not inside. She did need this surgery to help fix her up so her mouth could heal. She's got some extra folds too where moisture and infection could just sit.
Her surgery was just over 3 weeks ago. She handled wearing a cone for 2 weeks like a champ and today she got the last of her sutures out. So far it looks like it was a success and I'm hoping that nasty, smelly, and itchy infection is gone for good.
We still get asked from time to time if we have puppies for sale. Sorry, but no we don't. No pups for sale anytime soon the way it looks.
