⚠️ WHO'S CAT IS THIS?! ⚠️
This friendly, neutered, solid grey boy was found under a porch in the South Ruckle area (in Grand Forks) over a week ago. Sadly no one has come looking for him πŸ˜“.

It has been confirmed by a South Ruckle resident that he's often seen in that neighborhood, however we would like to confirm that he has an owner. PLEASE reach out if this is your cat or you know the owners πŸ™πŸ».

Ok folks, we are currently caring for 99 cats and kittens! πŸ™€ As much as we love every one of them, we urgently need to find homes for some of our adoptable cats, as there are several colonies of stray cats waiting for space to become available. πŸ˜“

πŸ“£ To help make room, we're lowering our adult cat adoption fee to just $100 from now until June 6th! All of our rescues have been fixed, vaccinated, treated for parasites and microchipped 😺

We have so many wonderful cats looking for loving families. Kittens may be adorable, but adult cats come with a special advantageβ€”you already know their personalities, preferences, and unique quirks. Plus, many rescue cats seem to understand they've been given a second chance, and their gratitude shines through in the love they share. πŸ’•

If you have room in your heart and your home for a rescue kitty, we'd love to hear from you! Reach out today to book a visit to the Shelter and meet the amazing cats waiting for their forever homes.

⚠️ IS THIS YOUR KITTY? ⚠️
A small, friendly, orange female cat was found trapped in a home undergoing renovations on 21st Street in Grand Forks earlier this week. She has no microchip or tattoo and it's unknown if she's spayed. Please reach out asap if you or someone you know owns this cat 😺

Animals are not objects. They are living beings with emotions, fear, pain, trust, and the ability to love. πŸ±πŸ’”

Every stray cat you pass was once a tiny kitten who depended on humans for safety. Many outdoor cats survive unimaginable hardships including injury, starvation, abuse, disease, weather, and loneliness.

That’s why so many animal advocates push for stronger protections, better rescue efforts, and more compassion toward community and stray cats.

A cat is not β€œjust an animal.”
Not β€œjust a stray.”
Not disposable.

They are someone.

And every life deserves kindness.

Stray cats are often treated like a nuisance before anyone stops to ask how they ended up outside in the first place.

Many were abandoned. Some were born outdoors and learned to survive however they could. Others once belonged to families before being dumped, lost, or forgotten.

People see a cat digging through trash or hiding beneath a porch and assume it β€œbelongs outside,” but survival for stray cats is rarely peaceful. Hunger, disease, injuries, harsh weather, predators, cars, and human cruelty are all part of daily life.

For a frightened stray cat, even a small act of kindness can completely change its future. A bowl of food. Fresh water. Calling a rescue. Offering shelter during extreme temperatures. Supporting TNR programs. Those things matter.

Sometimes compassion starts by seeing an animal not as a problem to remove, but as a life trying desperately to survive.

Meet Mortimer! This shy guy came to us as an intact stray from the Beaverdell area. His long black fur was severely matted, and as such he had to be completely shaved. He will have a luscious black coat once his fur grows back β€οΈπŸˆβ€β¬›.

Mortimer is approximately 1.5yrs old. He enjoys the company of other cats. He is still a bit insecure, but he he loves pettings and attention! As long as you have a little cubby-hole he can make his home base, he will happily hang out with you 😸. A calmer environment might be best for Mortimer as he is still a bit skittish. We're not sure how he feels about dogs, so a trial adoption involving a proper introduction strategy would be required.

Mortimer has been neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and microchipped. His about fee is $175. Please contact us asap if you would like to meet this sweet boy! 😻
