This little princess is D'anna. She is approximately 4mths old. She came to us with her brother as fearful strays at around 10wks old. Thanks to the hard work of our dedicated volunteers & her foster family, D'anna is becoming more and more confident and playful every day!

She is now looking for a family to call her own. One that will have patience with her and continue to help her blossom into a loving furever pet! 🐾🩷

D'annas adoption fee is $220, which covers her shots-to-date, parasite treatment, spay & microchipping. If you are interested in meeting the lovely little gal contact us asap! 😸

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who made the first day of our Pet Food Challenge such a fantastic success! An incredible 322 lbs of pet food was donated! Plus, with every pound you donate, Blue Barn will match it! ✨️Meet Youppi! This handsome hunk of ginger kitty is approximately 5yrs old. He came to us as a unfixed tomcat, however he is very sweet and loving so he definitely had a human at some point in his life. We don't know much about his past, but he seems to be interested in other cats, so with the proper introduction he may do fine in a home with other kitties 😸.

Youppi has been fixed, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175. If you would like to meet this sweet boy please contact us now! 🧡

Every year we hold the challenge to collect food for local rescues, and starting Thursday, April 17, when you donate pet food, we will MATCH it pound-for-pound!
Donate 5 lbs, we'll donate 5 lbs!
Donate 10 lbs, we'll donate 10 lbs!
The rescues in the Castlegar area that will benefit from the donations are Kootenay Animal Assistance Program Society (KAAP), HEART - Hope Emergency Adoption, Rescue & Transport, and Boundary Helping Hands Feline Rescue Society
So, stop in before April 30 and help us support these amazing organizations.

🌟 Special adoption fee, only $200 for 2 wonderful cats! 🌟

It's all about the bonded pairs at the Shelter right now! We have three sets of boys who are "attached at the hip" and will need to find a furever home together! 😺

💙 Stannis & Tyland
approximate ages 4 & 2 years
- They have been at the Shelter for almost a year now. This is most likely due to their color 😿. But they are both quite sweet, they like to be petted, and they can be silly & playful at times! (No outdoor experience)

🧡 Feldspar & Pyrite- approximate ages 2yrs old
- These handsome former tomcats are still a touch skittish, but are really warming up quickly to human touch and attention! They will need a patient adopters willing to continue with the positive love & reassurance they need to become confident and trusting pets. (Outdoor experienced)

💜 Panthro & Liono - approximate ages 1yr old
- These boys were born wild, but are coming around quickly to the luxuries of "pet life". While they definitely enjoy their catio time, they are also warming up to being petted and brushed, and to treats and regularly scheduled meals! With patience & love, we feel these 2 will make very loving pets to one lucky adopter! (Outdoor experienced)

Meet Pyrenees! This beautiful, fluffy white boy is approximately 10 months old. He comes from a local colony of many cats, and would enjoy another feline friend in his new home 😸. He is still a bit shy, so he will need a patient owner who will help build his confidence and teach him to love & trust.

This handsome boy is Chow Chow, and he has a secret.... He has 24 toebeans!! 🐾 We guesstimate his age around 1.5yrs old. He's a sweet boy who loves being pet, though he is still a bit nervous around fast movements and loud noises. A home with older kids and other chill pets would likely be the best environment for him.

He comes from a place with many other kitties, and will likely be happy is a home with other pets. If you would like to meet this charming kitty, please contact us asap! 🩵😸

👑 This lil princess is Celine! She is a sweet lil fluffyball of approximately 5 months old. She's still a smidge skittish, but is warming up really quickly to her foster parents. She is already purring and even showing belly! 😃

She's a bit jumpy around loud noises and fast movements, so a home with older children might be best. She's just learning how fun toys can be! 😸 Her young age should allow her to fit into any home dynamic, as long as your patient & loving.

She has been spayed, vaccinated to date, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200. If you would like to meet this little cutie, contact us asap! 🐾

We want to acknowledge sweet Pebbles who passed away March 10th. She was the beloved pet of one our wonderful foster parents, and she loved her time spent with her forever-foster brother Boots, and the many other foster kitties that came thru her life in the last couple of years 😸.

According to the wonderful neighbor & friend of Pebbles & her owner, Miss Pebbles loved the kitties so much, she's secretly saved up her allowance over the years and wanted it donated to the rescues when she passed 💖.
