Service Update from Molly's Pet Care Services

To our wonderful clients,

Due to changes in our family commitments, we have made the decision to discontinue our dog walking and yard clean-up services, effective today.

This wasn't an easy decision, but it allows us to focus our time and energy on the services we can continue to provide at the highest standard.

Going forward, we will be focusing on:
Drop-in Visits
Boarding
Wedding Pet Chaperone Services
Overnight Stays in Your Home

We may re-evaluate adding dog walking and yard clean-ups back in the future, but for now this is the direction that works best for our family.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who trusted us with these services. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Molly's test results from the vet clinic came back and she had a tumor but they completely removed it and she shouldn't have any issues going forward 🥹

The biggest shout out to Dr. Bland and her team at the Exploits Valley Animal Hospital for taking such good care of her and being so kind throughout this whole process which has had my nerves completely wrecked for a while. I'm so thankful for these amazing people.

Molly still doesnt know what all the fuss was about but she certainly isn't complaining about all the extra loving she's gotten 💕

Some mornings come with an unexpected adventure!

On our way home from morning drop-ins, we spotted Miss Aurora Belle out enjoying an enthusiastic solo stroll around the neighborhood. Thankfully, it didn't take much convincing for her to hop into the car and join us for the ride. With the phone number on her tag, we were able to reach her mom and let her know where her little explorer had ended up.

When Mom arrived, Aurora Belle seemed quite content with her new chauffeured outing and wasn't entirely convinced that the adventure should be over just yet. Unfortunately for her, all good road trips must come to an end.

We're happy to report that this sweet girl is back home safe and sound, with one extra story to tell about her morning adventure!

She certainly gave us a reason to smile this morning 💕🐾

We have some new folks here, so I'd like to do a little recap. 💕

Molly's Pet Care has never just been about pet sitting. It's been about community. Over the years I've had the privilege of caring for your dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and everything in between. I've celebrated new puppies, comforted families through difficult goodbyes, watched children grow up alongside their pets, and met some truly incredible people.

This little business has brought so much joy into my life. The support, trust, referrals, photos, messages, coffee chats, birthday gifts, banana trains 😅, and friendships have meant more than I can ever put into words.

I have received a lot of love from our community over the years. I have also received a lot of hate, death threats, slander, and harassment ... yes, from people in this same community.

That is the sad reality of being a q***r advocate and take on the role of Chair on the Pride board. It is not an easy role to hold. I have woken up to messages of violence in my DMs, been told I am the reason the world is going to hell while eating lunch at the Gorge, been added to a doxxing watchlist by extremists in Alberta, and been called every name in the book online.

And guess what? ✨ Still here. ✨

I'm still going to show up with a smile and continue doing what I do because I know the impact safe spaces have. I know how much acceptance matters. I know what it feels like to wonder if you'll be welcomed somewhere.

The same values that guide my advocacy guide this business. Everyone is welcome here. Every family is welcome here. Every pet is welcome here.

If you don't support this community, that's your choice. But many fur babies who have stayed with us have heard me reading q***r books aloud more than once, and I can assure you they haven't turned gay yet either.

What they have seen is kindness, compassion, and a whole lot of cuddles.

Peace. Love. Be yourself. And give your pets a scratch from me. 💕🐾

We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the support from our clients this year, and we cannot thank you enough.

At this time, boarding, day care, and overnight care in clients' homes are fully booked until September 2026.

We are still accepting bookings for:
• Drop-In Visits
• Wedding Pet Chaperone Services

If you are looking for boarding, day care, or overnight care September onwards, we encourage you to submit a request as early as possible.
