This sweet and shy girl is finally ready for adoption and seeking her ✨first✨ home with understanding people who can continue to break her out of her shell. Keep reading to learn more about Salem!

Salem was brought into our care as a young semi-feral kitten. She still has these roots and will need an owner who will understand that an instant connection upon meeting and adopting her will not happen! 🥹 However, please make sure to view all the photos and videos in the comments below. These help show the true personality of Salem when she's comfortable and how far she's grown in our care with patience, love and grace from our volunteers!👏❤

Salem used to be very hand shy but quickly learned to love rubs around her neck, down her back and bum too! She used to hiss upon every approach, but this is just an innate reaction that she's slowly working away! She usually runs to hide in a cubby when you enter the room but with time, she comes out for many, many rubbies! 😂 And this is especially when other cats are around. It is REQUIRED for her to have another friendly cat in her new home! She absolutely loves all other cats, instantly perks up around them and is completely willing to learn from their confident behaviours. Salem also loves wet food, toys and of course, a comfortable, consistent quiet environment. 😀

Salem needs to be adopted into a home with another friendly cat to take her under their wing. Her new owners should have some experience with shy cats and allow her to settle in on her own terms. Due to her timid background, a home without dogs and young children will be required at this time.

She is fully vetted - spayed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative and treated for fleas/worms!
