Weather update for tomorrow ❄️

Because apparently Mother Nature just had to give us one last poopstorm before the end of the year 🙃 we wanted to check in about tomorrow.

Please don’t put yourselves at risk trying to do a drop-off or pick-up if road conditions aren’t safe (or even just feel questionable).

All dogs here are happy, warm, fed, and safe. If conditions don’t improve, they’re absolutely welcome to stay on until the afternoon, and if needed, through to Tuesday. No pressure, no stress. We have plenty of food, meds, treats, and cuddles to get them through a few more hours.

We’re hopeful things improve, but safety always comes first. We’ll keep everyone posted as things unfold.

With tomorrow’s messy forecast rolling in, daycare will be cancelled for the day. We’re pressing pause to keep everyone safe and warm.

Hi frens, it’s me, Frankie! I got my lucky Blue Jays jersey on and I’m ready to cheer my heart out! 🧢

I’ve been practising my “GOOOO JAYS!” bark and perfecting my pre-game zoomies. Snacks? Ready. Spirit? Unmatched. Tail? Wagging at full speed!

It's that time of year again, and we are already preparing for a busy Christmas / New Year guest list ... I wanted to provide LOTS of notice again this year as we have already reached over 50% capacity.

We have very limited space available for existing clients (we are again not accepting new dogs this holiday season) from December 22nd to January 5th. Closed dates for check in / out are below. If you're planning to book during these dates, please do so as early as possible.

The office will be closed from December 23rd to January 5th.
No replies to emails, voicemails, Facebook messages, or booking requests during this period.
We will have text/SMS available only for guests whose pups are staying with us Dec 22 - Jan 5.

Holiday Stay Requirements:
Booking Deadline: All booking requests for stays between December 22nd and January 5th must be received by December 15th. We will likely reach capacity well before this date, so please book early. No last-minute requests will be accommodated.

Minimum Charge: A 5-night minimum charge applies to all stays between December 22nd and January 5th, regardless of the number of nights booked.

Check-In/Out Times: Restricted to 10:00 am – 12:00 pm only.

Any check-ins/outs outside of this time block will incur a $99 special request fee.

Check-In/Out Restrictions: No check-ins or check-outs on December 24th, 25th, 26th, 31st, or January 1st—no exceptions.

No New Dogs: We will not be accepting new dogs during this period.

No Daycare Services: Daycare will not be available during the holiday operational period.

Payment Information:

Cancellation Policy: No refunds or credits will be provided for any cancellations after December 1st.

Please plan accordingly and reach out before December 15th (the sooner, the better) if you have any questions or need assistance finalizing your holiday plans.

International Dog Day is all about celebrating the dogs who shape our days, our routines, and even our rules.

This year, I’m choosing to shine a light on one unforgettable personality: Cyprus. She wasn’t just another guest—she set the tone. From the start, she took on the role of Pack Momma. If play got rowdy, she was on it. If someone pushed their luck, she was the first to say “enough.” There was no negotiating with her sense of order. And honestly? She was usually right.

Cyprus was the very first dog to walk through our doors, arriving with her son and her sister, and she was the very first to claim a piece of this place as her own. That suite she loved so much will always be “hers” in our minds. Over time, she became more than a guest—she became the yard’s quiet authority, the one I trusted completely.

Her nickname, “Needy Baby, Greedy Baby,” stuck for a reason, and it’ll always belong to her. Dogs come and go, but every now and then there’s one who leaves an imprint too sharp to ever soften. Cyprus was one of those.

🌿 Quick note to let you know I will be taking a little breather from Monday to Thursday this week in La Belle Province.

I’ll still be checking emails, texts, and booking requests here and there, but replies might come a little slower than you’re used to. I promise I haven’t (completely) disappeared into the wilderness — just recharging a bit.

Phew… it’s a scorcher out there today! 🥵 Even with a/c, the water misters running, and every shady spot in use, this heat is no joke. For everyone’s comfort (and safety), we’ll be closing 30 minutes early tonight so our team and our pups can get inside, cool down, and relax.

Wrapping up one of the busiest weekends of the year with full hearts, muddy paws, and a very tired (and awesome!) team.

Huge thanks to all of our amazing clients for helping things run smoothly—from sticking to your drop-off times to packing exactly what your pup needed. It makes a massive difference, and we appreciate it more than you know.

Plenty of play, lots of cuddles, new friendships made, and a whole lot of happy chaos 💛
