With the help of our volunteers, ElderDog provides a range of assistance and support, including:

🐾Assisting seniors with exercising their dogs
🐾Delivering or picking up dog food from a grocery or pet store
🐾Providing light tasks associated with animal hygiene
🐾Grooming such as nail clipping or help with brushing
🐾Transportation to and from vet or groomer
🐾Temporary care during hospitalization

Are you looking for a smart, loyal, obedient companion to share your days? Kya is a charming three year old Yorkshire Terrier with oodles of pep, personality and zest for life. Weighing in at a petite 7lbs Kya is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and has just had a dental cleaning.

Kya behaves perfectly at the Vets and at the groomers as she loves being touched and cuddled. She loves interacting with her people and her toys especially the toys that move or if you kick a ball around for her. Kya would be happiest in a home where her people are with her most of the time as she thrives on company and love. We think she could also do well with a young, active dog to play with. Kya is not a barker and is friendly towards all people and other dogs. She has good recall and will not stray far from her people.

Kya loves her walks and being out in the fresh air in a secure fenced area safe from predators.

This pup knows all the basic commands and is eager to please. She is food motivated and is particularly fond of small slices of Ambrosia apples for treats. Kya has a couple of medical issues typical of her breed but medications have them under control.
Great things come in small packages and this little package is full of fun, curiosity and love. If you are searching for a sweet, loving snuggle buddy Kya might just be perfect for you.

*Noodle update* our girl is recovering really well after her dental surgery yesterday. Though she’s short a few teeth, her beautiful smile still persists ❤️‍🩹 It has been such a rollercoaster of emotions, and I’m so grateful to everyone that reached out with love and support! And thank you so much to the amazing staff at Gibsons Veterinary Hospital for taking such great care of her!
