Plans for the Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada's 50th Anniversary and Specialty show are well under way. The National Specialty will once again be in the 1000 Islands' Town of Gananoque Ontario. Just six miles from the United States Border, 90 miles north of Syracuse New York on 1-81. When you arrive and park your vehicle, everything is on the grounds, ground floor rooms, restaurant, the Saturday e

vening Banquet, and the popular complimentary wine and cheese Hospitality Welcoming Party Friday evening. Every Exhibitor will receive a welcome bag, which includes a bottle of wine with the 50th Anniversary logo on it. The National is May 24th and 25th with a Regional Specialty on May 26th on the same site. The events start on May 24th, with Obedience and Draft. The Judging Panel for the National conformation show on May 25th is Denise Castonquay for Puppy and Veteran Sweeps and Jim Bricknell for all Official Classes. The Obedience Judge is Michel Calhoun and the Draft Dog Judges are, Denise Castonguay, Peggy Flockhart and Allan Maniate. Regional Specialty on May 26th judges are Jim Wright for Puppy and Veteran sweeps and Mike Jackman for Official Classes. There will be a luncheon to follow the Regional Specialty Sunday afternoon. Wonderful items are still coming in for the Auction..

This 6 foot long X 4 1/2 wide throw with two matching pillows is vellux background, the newf squares are 100% cotton and are surrounded by Newfoundland Tartan. The throw is flannel backed and has quilt batting inside.

This throw and pillows was hand made and donated by Judy Ferguson of Newfoundland. You'll have to agree this would be a wonderful gift for someone or just to have for yourself

Here is another photo of the finished handmade quilt that was made and donated by Donna Hounsell - Moonfleet Newfoundlands.
The size of this lovely quilt is 72 X 66 and it is lined with "warm and natural" batting. Can't you just see this adorning your bed :-)
