Bear, our gentle Great Pyrenees, came in for a check-up and left feeling a whole lot better after some TLC from Dr. Paul in his appointment, hanging out with the whole team outside afterwards for his photo op! 📸

As a reminder, summer heat can be dangerous for pets, especially dogs with short snouts like Bulldogs, Pugs, and Frenchies.

Watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting or drooling, bright red gums, wobbling, or vomiting. If you notice these signs, get your pet to a cool area, offer water, and call us immediately.

Dear Gananoque Vet Clinic Family,

We hope you're enjoying your summer!

We wanted to share a few updates with you about our team.

Drs. Paul and Barb O’Neill have been the heart of our clinic for many years, providing exceptional care and compassion to every pet and person who walks through our doors. We’re incredibly grateful for all they’ve built and continue to inspire.

Dr. Barb will be stepping back from her day-to-day role but will still be available for specialty surgeries when needed. Dr. Paul will continue seeing patients at the clinic.

Dr. Kishore has quickly become a valued part of our team and community. His dedication and care have made his transition into practice a great success. We commend Dr Kishore on his major accomplishment in obtaining his veterinarian (DVM) license as of the end of June. Dr Kishore’s wife, Sonika, is also taking steps toward her veterinary licensure.

Thank you for being part of our community. We look forward to continuing to care for your pets with the same love and dedication you’ve come to know and trust.

Pets can’t sweat like humans. They cool down through panting and paw pad sweat, so staying hydrated is critical for regulating body temp.
