🔅Maverick 🔅

A flashy 13.3 hh 4 year old sorrel Quarter Horse/Welsh gelding.
As a yearling and 2 year old, Maverick was a 4-H project for a 12 year old boy where he learned ground manners, lunging, saddling, lots of desensitizing, and was backed.
As a 3 year old, Maverick spent 6 weeks in professional training, starting his foundation in the arena and on the trails
As a 4 year old, Maverick has spent the past 60 days in professional training gaining life experience, confidence, and many miles in addition to working on foundational training in the arena.
Maverick is looking for a partner to continue his education and build a connection with. He is solid on the trail, great in a group, and goes out on his own. He has got a lot of forward motion and whoa, he would excel in barrel racing or cattle sorting. He’s very feely in the rib and face, therefore not fit for a beginner but would make an excellent mount for a smaller confident rider.
This little man has a big personality, is build to last, and has a ton of natural athleticism.

These girls are so special to me and all the people they teach and connect with
Our lesson horses live the best life and absolutely love their job!

Reese is my 6 year old paint mare, she is very well educated and has a huge personality that brings many laughs to our barn!

Arrow is a 16 year old grey mare, she will give anyone a back massage and makes the silliest faces 🤪

Smarty is the back bone of our program 💕 our sweet 18 year old bay mare who will pack anyone perfectly with no assistance, she is made of gold and she knows it, she often has a crabby face while we get her ready, she isn’t our friendliest horse and we let her pick her kids! She has taught me, and many others so many valuable lessons about treating horses and others with respect 🥰

Somehow July came and went by already…
What a busy and wild month!
The weather and the c**ts have been a bit unpredictable at times 😆
Thankful for what I do, the people who support me and the nice horses I get to ride everyday 🤍

All these horse sure have been appreciative of our nebulizer this week! Finally some clearer air and blue skies to make things even better!
Ill be traveling to Vanderhoof and Burns Lake this week if anyone has a horse who is in need of a chelated silver respiratory treatment!

Setting up young horses for success in any discipline with solid western foundation training. Our program strives to select registered c**ts and build them into great prospects. This season we have room for a few more young horses to join our training program!

Located just outside of Fraser Lake, BC

Starting at $1050 +gst / monthly
Our program guides horses through basic steps to create a partner willing to work through obstacles confidently and with patients. We focus on creating forward horses who are light on their feet and responsive to cues. With consistent training in the arena, a diverse atmosphere outriding on trails, checking fence and cows these young horses develop responsible mindsets and will be set up for success in any future!

Over the last several years I have been concentrating on building up our own horses knowledge and skillset as well as my own.
I am graduating from Olds College after completing my Equine Reproduction Technician Certification in a couple short weeks. After graduating the Equine Science Diploma in 2021, I wanted to continue to learn about these animals! Since then I have spent time starting c**ts, training performance horses and working as a loper at the biggest cutting barn in Canada. Studying equine reproduction, getting hands on experience working in a breeding clinic and assisting many mares with foaling. After many years of developing my skill from some of the best equine educators in the country. My knowledge includes horsemanship, training and instructing, equine husbandry and health care. I passionately enjoy sharing and working towards consistent growth within my clients and the horses under my care.

💫 STARLIGHTS DANCER ⚡️

This 4 year old APHA gelding by VON STARLIGHT, despite having a later start has exceeded our expectations and earned a big spot in our hearts!
Can’t wait to get home to start riding him out and starting him on cows

Time: Weekdays at 9:00am and 10:30am

Western horseback riding lesson program
We focus on the care and handling of horses, equine anatomy and body language, preparation to ride and horse back riding skills, communication and extra fun!
All ages and skill levels welcome

Looking forward to catching up with all my returning students and families this summer and sharing my knowledge and love for these wonderful animals with many new faces.
