🐶 Dear Dog Treats is growing, and we need your help! 🐾

Are you (or someone you know) looking for a fun, flexible, and long-term opportunity to earn extra income? We’re hiring part-time staff for farmers' markets and trade shows!

📅 Shifts Available:
🛍 Saturday & Sunday shifts (with occasional weekday events)
🛍 Flexible scheduling – we work around your availability!
🛍 Schedules are filled on a month-to-month basis

💰 Pay: Minimum wage + sales incentives/commission

🔹 What We’re Looking For:
✅ Outgoing, confident, and motivated individuals
✅ Strong customer service & communication skills
✅ Passion for pets (dog lovers & pet enthusiasts are a bonus!)
✅ Sales experience is an asset
✅ Ability to handle transactions, track inventory, and record sales

For all of life’s most teachable moments…. Dear Dog Treats! We are excited to welcome them back as a vendor at the 2025 Edmonton Pet Expo. The team over at Dear Dog Treats always set up a great booth where you can find local Alberta-made products for your dog! Using no additives or fillers, spices, by-products or unreadable ingredients, their treats are all bite and no bark… just locally-raised Alberta beef, goat, lamb and chicken – slowly smoked and full of flavour, protein and nutrition. The end result is truly food with thought, and a healthy and effective treat – whether to train, reward or just to please.

When we started our business this was one of our key pillars…. Give back to the local rescues. 1 treat at a time!!!!
Glad to see that our efforts are helping out so much. Thank you for being on team Dear Dog!!!🐶

We are about two weeks behind on making this post! We want to start with a huge thank you to Dennis and the team at Dear Dog Treats for another generous donation of raw scraps and bones as well as processed bones/treats.

Another huge thank you goes out to valued volunteer Dustin for picking up this load, sorting and coordinating pick up. This load was distributed to our friends at Alberta Lost Pet Locator and Rescue Society and Alberta Homeward Hound Rescue Bureau

With rescues and shelters overflowing with animals, many rescues are having to purchase food to keep up with demand. Bone and treat enrichment are critical to keeping dogs from boredom while ensuring a species appropriate diet. We are beyond grateful.

Protect Your Dog’s Paws This Winter
Cold weather, snow, and ice can be tough on your dog’s paws. Cracks and dryness are common, but you can help by applying a homemade paw salve. Before heading out, wipe paws clean to remove salt or debris, trim long fur between pads to prevent ice buildup, and apply the salve after walks to keep them moisturized.

DIY Paw Salve Recipe

2 tbsp coconut oil

2 tbsp shea butter

1 tbsp beeswax

1 tsp olive oil

Melt all ingredients in a double boiler, stir well, and pour into a small container. Let it cool and solidify before use. Apply a small amount to your dog’s paws as needed for protection and healing. Keep your pup’s paws happy and healthy this winter!

We are incredibly honored to receive the Food, Retail & Hotel Business of the Year award from the Fort Saskatchewan & District Chamber of Commerce!

Although we were unable to attend the awards ceremony, our hearts are full of gratitude for this recognition. We’d like to extend a huge congratulations to all the other nominees and winners. The competition in our category was tough, with such amazing local businesses alongside us. We are truly inspired by each of you and feel privileged to be part of such a vibrant community.

Thank you to the Chamber, the judges, and our amazing supporters who make what we do possible every day. Here’s to continuing to grow together and serving our community with love and dedication! 🐾
