I started this account during COVID when lots of people were turning to the Bookstagram community to find connection and fill the sudden accumulation of time everyone found on their plates during 2020/21.

I'm not a heavy reader; I post a handful of reviews a year. Its a side hobby that I do when I can. It has also been a great way to carve out a moment of time to bond with my dog. 🥰 In case you ever wondered why Zelda is so photogenic, well, this is it 😂 I use basic obedience and trick training to set Zelda up for the shots I envision. I try to keep it on-theme with the book I'm talking about, and am always conscious of Zelda's comfort. This photo took about 5 minutes to get her used to the headphones on her and then get her to touch her chin to the floor while wearing it.

I also want to take a moment to give a shout out to our local library Fort St. James Public Library; I am joining for the book club read of The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. So if you're interested in that make sure to also "check out" (pun intended) our local library and ask them about the monthly book club 😊

Thanks for training with me tonight Group 5! Tonight was our last night of class. The puppies have made SO much progress with their owners. Tonight we talked about what makes good teamwork, how to advocate for your dog as well as learning basic leash skills; loose-leash walking and heel with an automatic sit.

Keep up the good work and you will help support your puppies through their growth into wonderful family dogs. 🥰

Thanks for training with me last night, Group 5! Everyone did great, considering how hot it was. Puppies started learning impulse control with a fantastic start to stay!

Thanks for training with me tonight Group 5! The puppies got to try working in a more distracting environment tonight and we worked on Focus & Reliability, introducing focus with their name and the recall (come) command.

Thanks for training with me tonight, Group 5! Your puppies are all beautiful, and I promise it'll get less chaotic as the weeks go on 😉

We have a 4.5 month old, a 5 month old and a 10 month old puppy in this class, so it is a lot of fun! Tonight the puppies learned how to sit, down, and greet guests.
