Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue Committee

Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue Committee is ran completely by volunteers who have dedicated their time and love to help rescue animals in need.

Wood Buffalo Animal Rescue Committee is an organization dedicated to helping animals across the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as well as all surrounding areas. The rescue was formed to help the remote community of Fort Chipewyan with the over population of stray animals and animals that needed to be re homed. Over the last couple of years it grew into a bigger mission and helping animals in all the surrounding area of Wood Buffalo.

🎄 Fa-la-la-la-laaa! Peaches and her foster family are getting into the Christmas spirit! ❤️

And this sweet girl is hoping Santa brings her the best gift of all… a forever family!

Adoptable Peaches is the perfect family dog. She LOVES kids and is a total car girl (especially when it means tagging along for school drop-off and pick-up🚗)!

She’s a quirky, lovable girl with big ears, an even bigger personality, and a whole lot of love to give. Peaches has blossomed into a confident, affectionate pup who loves outdoor adventures just as much as cozy cuddles with her favourite people.

After being such an incredible mama, Peaches is ready be someone’s baby for a change. She deserves a family who will spoil her, love her, and make her part of all their everyday adventures. ❤️

Bad Bunny & her emotional support shrub have a BIG announcement. 🎤🌿🐰🏈👻

SHILOH & PIA HAVE BEEN ADOPTED!! 🥹

And the best part? Their foster parents decided they simply couldn’t let these two go anywhere!

What started as a temporary home turned into their forever home. These bonded girls came as a package deal, and now they get to spend the rest of their lives together with the people who already love them.

Happy Halloween from our two newest foster fails! 🎃🐾

We have his baby videos. His growing-up videos. Now we’d love to capture the moment he meets his forever family. 🥹💛

Watching Bicks grow from a tiny puppy into the dog he is today has been pretty special. We just never imagined he’d still be waiting for a family of his own.

We’re hoping someone watching has a little room on their couch, a lot of love to give, and a feeling that Bicks might finally be their boy.. 💛

To learn more about Bicks head to www.wbarc.ca

Please share his reel to help him find his people. 🐾

*** Please note that our beloved animals will be shared until their adoption contract is signed. If you need to inquire about the status of your application or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.🐾

Sad news in the rescue world this morning. Rest easy Jesse, thanks for everything ❤️

Jackie just wants to be loved 😩 Six months have gone by without a single adoption application.

Fun? She’s got that covered. Cute? Just look at her! Active? Always up for anything! 💦

But more than anything she’s just a sweet girl who’s still waiting to be someone’s everything…

Jackie would thrive with someone or family who enjoys spending time with her and is committed to continuing her training. She gets along well with other dogs, is comfortable in her kennel, and would do best in a home with older kids.

Interested in meeting Jackie? Apply through our website to arrange a playdate, or reach out to learn more!
