Freezing Rhubarb in 5 easy steps ✨

1.Wash and dry the stalks.
2.Thinly slice the stalks into about 1/2 inch pieces.
3.Lay the cut pieces in a single layer on a lined baking sheet.
4.Put the pan in the freezer for an hour until hard.
5.Transfer them to heavy duty ziplock freezer bags, label, and put back in the freezer. Push out any excess air before zipping closed.
They will last 6 months to a year.
Use the rhubarb straight from frozen in your recipes, unless a recipe specifically states otherwise.

Mission ~ Baby Squirrel Rescue 🐿🐿

I went into our garage and grabbed a laundry basket and gloves. I put the babies in the basket and put another basket on top, I didn't have a lid, and the one was trying to escape up the side! One of the babies had some blood and minor looking surface injuries around the face, and the other baby was unscathed. Then I called John... like, I know what to do with baby squirrels that are now squeaking and scared!? He told me to put the basket with something protecting the opening but enough room for mama to get her babies out. Sure enough, she took them out of the baskets one at a time and carried them up the tree 🌳

This Morning 🌄 2 baby squirrels 🐿🐿 on the ground barely moving. I thought they were dead 😳

My 2 dogs were barking like crazy at our side gate to the front yard. From where I was standing, I thought it was a clump of leaves. I went to leave, and as I approached my truck, I noticed a crow at one of the spots. Is it odd that a crow would be poking around at leaves? So I went over to investigate. The pictures above are what I saw.
