Everyone wants to know how to train a puppy… but few people realize that learning doesn’t just happen during training sessions.
It also happens during sleep.
Puppies need 18–20 hours of sleep every day. Those naps help their brains process new experiences, regulate emotions, and support healthy growth. An overtired puppy is often more bitey, zoomy, and distracted—not because they’re “bad,” but because they’re exhausted.
Keep training sessions short, make time for naps, and let rest do its job. 🧡
