Now Hiring: Full-Time Barn Staff
Location: Orton, Ontario
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our busy, well-equipped equine hospital and farm. Our practice provides comprehensive veterinary care — including advanced lameness evaluation, diagnostics, and preventive care — to both performance and pleasure horses throughout southern Ontario.
Our facility is home to five full-time ambulatory veterinarians, and we care for 20–50 horses on-site at any given time for breeding, injury rehabilitation, and basic care. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly, professional, and compassionate environment, where excellence in patient and client care is our top priority.
Position Overview
As part of our Barn Staff, you will be responsible for:
Hands-on care and management of horses residing on-site
Assisting veterinarians with in-clinic procedures
Ensuring safe, effective handling of horses in both hospital and performance settings
Qualifications
Experience handling horses safely and confidently in both performance and hospital settings
Experience with foals is beneficial
Reliable, self-motivated, and professional
Strong communication skills
Must hold a full G driver’s license
Willingness to work some evenings and weekends and holidays (required)
