Underhill Specs was officially founded in 2012, after purchasing the first Speckle Park heifer in 2011. A modern beef operation where cows are house in a modern barn facility/yard in the winter and on 60 acres of rolling hills pasture in the summer months. Cattle are monitored via high speed wireless camera technology direct to Smartphone/laptop for calving, heat detection, feed inventories and ge
neral cow comfort. Currently running 60 registered Speckle Park cows, 5 herd bulls and AI utilization to maximize genetic diversity. A group of commercial recips are also run annually. Jordon Underhill was born and raised on a beef/cash crop operation in Ayr, ON and has owned beef cattle for over 30 years. Underhill Specs point of different is breeding for performance AND structural correctness. Jordon has had the privilege of touring and learning from Speckle Park breeders around the Country. Underhill SPECS was the 1st Eastern Canada Speckle Park breeder to win an Agribition Champion banner and have now won 2. Underhill Specs was the driving force behind the creation of the Herd Builder – Ontario Speckle Park Sale, to allow entrant breeders to acquire quality stock to expand the market here in Eastern Canada. The sale has now evolved into an intimate onfarm female sale each September and a private treaty bull sale each Feb @ Carsons Auction - Future FWD Herd Builder Sale - series.
