Update on Finnigan

I am grateful for the care and concern that we’ve received since Finni was taken into our vet after suffering a seizure.

Finni has been on Prednisone for almost 2 weeks and is showing a positive response to it. His head tremors have decreased substantially in occurrence and intensity and his balance has improved. I continue monitoring for improvement or change.

Finni continues to be my wilful little man with his hangry tantrums, which have increased as a side affect of prednisone is increased appetite. Thankfully he’s a fan of green beans so bean snacks are becoming a thing around here.

We know Prednisone is not a cure but it brings comfort to my boy and I’m grateful for that. For the time being, I will continue to care for and adore my little guy and in return get the best snuggles. 🥰

I ask that you continue to keep Finni’s comfort in your thoughts. We may also need donations of green beans. 😂

Prednisone is a steroid that can treat inflammation, autoimmune diseases, Addison's disease, and some forms of cancer in dogs.

Who I am and what’s this doggy business...

Primarily, I am a dog-mom to two amazing beagle boys but I am also an experienced dog sitter, trainer (behavioural and physical rehabilitation), and have provided foster-care to rescued dogs (Beagle Paws Rescue) for many years. I understand doggy behaviours (toys to giant breeds) and know what to watch for to encourage positive doggy behaviour.

I also understand the challenges dog-parents go through trusting someone to ensure comfort, care and safety for their dog’s care -- be it during the day, overnight or short/long-term stays.

I have been providing home-based doggy dayplay and overnight stays for the past few years. My experience and knowledge with dogs is life-long and I am able to provide safe and trusting care to your doggy companions. In my care, all dogs are cared for in the same manner as my boys and social graces are always encouraged.

We have a home that is doggy appropriate with a securely fenced backyard that is locked, safe, clean and dogs are always supervised. Our doggy guests are able to relax, play games (the boys love interactive and learning games) and are cared for by someone that understands doggy temperaments and personalities (they are all unique little characters).
